I've only made ONE trade with Robin before this and that was to save me a dollar on a pick (where I moved from 17 to 18) because I thought I wasn't making any more trades and couldn't afford that pick, so whoever was at 17 was getting that trade offer to me.. it happened to be Robin.

This was only the second trade which was him sending me a useless pick (53rd) since I have no picks in this draft and I could maybe stash someone. A month ago he had no open roster spots + 4-5 people on his exempt list + 5 upcoming picks this year which is why he's had more outgoing than incoming.

the reality is - Robin put out a post saying that he only wanted to move Wall...many of the gms thought it was funny (go look in the thread). I remember Robin telling me he needed more time because he was waiting for Wall offers- he didnt get any...as soon
as i trade for him - the boston rants began...

You want to do a deal with robin- have patient, be relentless, and make him good offers...

I was offered trash in my last herro offer...Some gms will respond to that and some wont- it is what it is...

Kf92 hasnt been around for months- I had a pm siting in my outbox for over two months...
Then all of a sudden Mecca is trading Dame a top 5 player for Ben simmons and I didnt
see the same energy from you or several other gms...

Not fair...

Many of us were vocal about expressing that Mecca won that deal. But that was still not overly controversial as two all-stars changed hands and there's been no seemingly buddy ball between the two parties.

I think the dynamic is different this time around because Robin seems only accessible to four members tops (SOUL, you, NewEra, and Capn'O). Never seen a GM in all my history of BAT/BaF so choosey in who they open PMs/Emails from, or close transactions with.

The running joke is of a blacklist. Only he's not active enough here to even pick up any tendencies or post history to even get anyone on that list. Unless of course, he was advised not to deal with but a select few.

Whatever the case may be, or who defends this GM style, I think it's obvious it's not good for the league.

Not arguing. We can keep it funky wit eachother civilly. Go check my posts when I commented on the Dame/Ben deal. I was very blunt in stating Mecca won that deal by far. Especially since he kept LeVert and I also mentioned even if he gave up a pick, it didn't hold much value being that his team is a perennial contender.

But one thing about KF92, he answers his PMs bro. Go ask him how I been sliding in his inbox tryna pry away Bertans. He will let you know upfront if he isn't feeling the offer and never leaves one on ignore. Sure he had a sabbatical during a pandemic. But he is a vet who has earned that right to get ghost and have none of us question his commitment.

I wouldn't divulge that publicly out of respect for privacy of deal terms. But even if it was an offer not to his liking, it cost you nothing to reply "no thanks."

I love to cook, but steak is one thing I haven’t mastered. I guess with a bunch of kids you just don’t have the time or budget to splurge on a good steak and do it right.

I do make a great burger. Made a batch of jalapeño relish from peppers that I grew last weekend.

Considering the work Bish has put in over the years, how long we've kept this going, I'd figure a ton of posters would be dying to be in this. If we go nuts over a random rumor, workout video or press conference, it always amazed me this wasn't even more active especially during slow times.

To me this supercedes RL. I care less and less about the actual Knicks with each passing BaF season. Like, at least I can do something about this. With the IRL Knicks, we are powerless.

That won’t stop me from sending him offers in future though. He seems to only respond if he likes the offer. He isn’t the first and only GM that does this.

My main beef with him is his lack of activity in the thread. I just wish it was more, but it’s the off-season. If he and all the other in-actives can commit to being around more often when the season opens up that would be great.
