Steph vs Rondo
Klay vs Danny Green
Wiggins vs Lebron
Draymond vs AD
Marquis Chriss/Paschall vs Javale/Dwight

I think the Warriors match up much better and probably would've made it a quick series. Thoughts?

I'd have Warriors as slight favourites this year if they met.

Now for next year, I have Gstate for sure. Gstate uses the 2nd pick and maybe the Minny pick to get something good + Lebron is another year older.

I would have bet on the Clippers and Lakers before the Warriors myself.

I’ve always been a big Draymond fan but he really did look quite bad this past season. Perhaps some of it was due to poor effort in a lost season but I do think he started to slip. And Curry and Thompson aren’t spring chickens, so I doubt they would have performed at the same level as previous seasons either.

That leaves Wiggins, a net negative player who doesn’t move the needle, and a bunch of shoulder shrugs. They certainly wouldn’t have had the same depth as any of the previous additions.

the Warriors had zero depth this season due to being hard-capped and would not have been able to handle the Lakers bigs. I have them right back in the mix next season with a more well-rounded roster.

Draymond was terrible this year and Curry is a year older so i doubt it.

Not sure they're ever going to be those pre-KD warriors ever again. Draymond fell off so hard and he was a big part of what they do. We also still have to see how Klay will be moving after the injury

I don't think GSW's depth was great this season. Hard to say. I do think they give LA the biggest challenge of the west though

didn't Klay rip out his achilles? or was that Steph?

but the answer to your question is no. midget 3point small ball doesn't work in today's modern era of big boy pants basketball

Nope.

People underestimate the toll playing that many extra games takes on players. Every single one of these dynasty or 3peat teams ends up breaking or wearing down eventually and so it's no surprise that all of the big 3 suffered some kind of injury or declined.

Nor do they have the depth they previously had. Iggy and Livingston are gone, not to mention KD. Replacing them with Wiggins and a whole bunch of rookies, G Leaguers and the bad kind of vet min guys isn't enough to make up for that. Not even close. Which means no more 4th quarter breaks for the big 3, which means more minutes played, more wear on the body and less energy when they get into the playoffs.

We will never know but they without a doubt would be the second best team in the league. Curry is a game changer that only Lebron can defeat.

No team depending on Wiggins to be the primary matchup on Lebron is a threat.

This is not 2015 or 2016. They need a huge addition to be a championship caliber team. Wiggins being the 3rd fiddle doesn't win you championships. Ingram would be a great addition for them.
