However, if CP3 is just standing on the wing or in the corner waiting for a pass from a 'walled off' Giannis, then what's the point?

FACT: Giannis barreling down the middle of the court in transition is the most effective weapon in the NBA.

Any coach who takes this out of the offense is a complete moron. Add CP3 to the mix, and the offense would need to diversify to take advantage his skillset and leadership with the ball in his hands. I don't trust Bud to do it whether it's plain stubbornness or being incapable. Bring in CP3 and hope Bud can figure it out, I guess.

I was at your point of view. After watching last season and Playoffs ... Giannis grabs most of our boards and we don't have runners to fill the lanes in transitions. We are a very old and slow team. Giannis reaches top of the key 1v5 , so he stops and waits for his teammates to get into their half court spots. Giannis is dragged back by his slow teammates. I want this to change this season, faster , younger players and a new playmaker. I would love to see for Giannis as a runner with Kevin Love rebounding and him or CP3 lobbing a pass to Giannis in transition.

A low cost player I would go after is D'Anthony Melton. He's an RFA, and I don't think Memphis goes out of their way to keep him is because he's behind Ja, and they also have Tyus Jones. Some say he's a combo guard, but I don't agree - I think he's strictly a 1. I don't think it'd cost more than a future 2nd to convince Memphis to not match an offer. Problem with him is his 3 point shot needs dramatic improvement. He's had injury problems, but that shouldn't be a long-term problem. He's an athletic AND smart defender, and he helps in rebounding. If the 3 point shot comes around, he becomes a quality starter - much like a young Kyle Lowry. A young Bledsoe might be a good comp for him, because he really does have the potential to be one of the top defensive PG's in the game.

So sad to admit that prime Brandon Knight was our best PG last 7 years next to Giannis ...
I think prime Brandon Knight that was hitting 3s off the bounce at 38.9 in 2014-15 season was the best PG Giannis ever had.
I can't get over it ... Trade #24 for Masai Ujiri

Mo Williams next to Giannis would have been amazing on offense. All those “he set Bogut up to be blocked” moments become easy dunks, and Mo was lethal from 18-20 feet.

I must have missed when Knight was chosen to the NBA's All Defensive First Team.

He wasn't? Well that's a shocker.

Just inflated Def Stats from Giannis becoming a Freak and DPOY and Bud's system.
I prefer BK height and length over Bled.

Exactly what defensive stats were inflated?

I was talking for ONLY the 2014-15 Brandon Knight not the rest of his career.

I'm not even sure Brandon Knight was better than Jerryd Bayless.

Do you think we could get a 1st and 2- 2nd rounders for him, without taking back any salary?

Is that a deal the Bucks would/should be interested in?

I guarantee he could bring back Tyus Jones and Isaiah Thomas.

I still think about what would have been had the Bucks not drafted Jennings the offseason after Sessions initial breakout in '09. Dude was putting up 30-point triple-doubles, 40-point games, 20-assist outings. Couldn't shoot or play defense, but a fantasy god.

The guy we should have kept from that team is Ser Jared Dudley.

Ill always be thankful they drafted Jennings. Double-nickel is probably the second best game Ive witnessed in-person, only behind G6 of the 01 ECF. Walked outta there advocating for a lifetime contract

We could get Jones for less than a first and 2- 2nds, which we now have, and we wouldn't have to take on salary filler. IT is a free agent.

So you want Giannis guarding guys on the perimiter so he can leak out on fast breaks.

That would reduce his defensive effectiveness, increase his risk for fouling out and hurt the teams defensive rebounding a ton.

You don't run in the playoffs. Period. No one does. Every team gets back to make the game a half court game.
