Porzingis suffered the injury in Game 1 of the Dallas Mavericks' first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Porzingis played in Games 2 and 3 with the injury.

Treatment options for Porzingis are currently being explored.

Is it safe to say we won the trade now?

I think so...

We got almost nothing. We have a negative value DSJ contract. 2 late first rounders. You can't win anything where you get nothing. He wouldn't necessarily have torn his meniscus playing here.

Stop defending Mills. This trade was atrocious and part of a series of awful moves by that **** heel starting with signing TH Jr, then stretching Noah for no reason.

The Alternative Universe argument. KP is still playing for the Knicks, with a bionic meniscus, in the playoffs in another Bubble dimension. Then after the playoffs, the Pelicans trade Zion and Ingram to the Knicks for KP, who goes on to tear his other ACL in New Orleans. President Hillary visits KP in the hospital during a campaign stop in Louisiana, a swing state.

Hillary and KP champion a change to the constitution to allow foreign born people to run for president, KP wins 2024.

We lost the trade as of right now IMO. Lot's of things still in play, but what we know right now given how much of a road apple Smith is we lost this bad. If KP can't walk, Dallas collapses and Dennis Smith becomes prime Derrick Rose then we win.

what's being discussed?

KP can have 2 more knee injuries and it's still not that good of a trade, dsj is a bum .. he's not even 1/5 the talent kp is.

it all depends on where the draft picks will be, most likely anywhere from 14-25 but also luka is really good and the nba will love the narrative that luka alone can carry a team.

With Warriors back in the playoff picture and potentially having the Pelicans, T'Wolves, Suns, Spurs also shooting for that 8th seed, that Mavs pick could very well end up being a lottery pick for us. Only time will tell.

We got rid of salary and got two mid-late first round picks. They got Timmy and Trey who appear to be solid contributors. Timmy looks good next to Luka.

The whole situation was just a mess. The issue is, could we have done better trading with another team and it appears that was the case.

Exactly. Its one thing to not want to risk reupping him dues to health concerns and drama (assuming that was true). Its another thing to just trade the best player you've had since Patrick Ewing for a lot of relatively low or marginal value assets.

No matter how you look at it... we didn't win the trade at all. Using his injuries to justify winning the trade is ridiculous.

We have used the cap for who exactly?
The Dallas picks will be no more than late teens into the 20s. Some of y'all value first round picks like gold but forgot to realize that you are hoping for some horrible sh.it to happen just to get a good pick.

I'm hoping that whoever we draft with those DAL picks can be productive as a KP. Most likely won't happen.

This why you scout and develop . Look at some of the best players in the playoffs right now

That's all fine and dandy... but who has the Knicks really develop in the last 25 years?

David Lee
Nate Robinson
Mitchell Robinson

BTW, I don't think you can develop GOAT players. No matter who the coaches were/are, GOATS will always be GOATS.

Spurs def developed Kawahi

If Kawahi was a so called "goat player " at the time how come the Pacers traded him for George Hill?

Also part of the reason we havent developed players is because we never focus on development

Im not saying this is a gurantee but its a positive start in the right direction

Of course it's a positive start but you're comparing Spurs pristine track record of creating role players, starters and 1 legendary player. Again, what have we done for this optimistic view? Yes, we are hiring some people to do development but it will never pan out if we are continuously on a carousel every 2 years with a new coach.

Also, Kawhi is a rare player that was developed into a GOAT. Most GOATs will succeed with or without a good development team.

Well Steve Mills aint here anymore. He was the main problem these past 20 years besides Dolan and I Honestly believe Thibs will stay his full term. Leon and him are close. Leon will let him do his thing.

BAF Brooklyn - Pre-Season NBA 2K Simulation 2023 Champions.

Brunson/Nembhard/Micic
Butler/IQ/Ben Sheppard
Strus/Watford/Nesmith
Boucher/Morris/Baldwin Jr

Really, we all know it.

1. Around the beginning of the New Year, KP will be cleared to play

2. Two months later, he will injure himself again after never having regained his energy or gotten over his anemia.

3. The timetable calls for him to be out again through the end of the 2021 playoffs, but people will still say that in 2022, he will justify that $158M contract.

4. We won't be able to prove he doesn't help the Mavs because of the small sample size of games he has actually pkayed in.
.

You ain't even right.

Spoiler:
But I'll allow it.
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.

Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3

We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.
