Good news. I feared they find out they need surgery in January.

Get well KP!

Happy it’s getting repaired. Mavs training staff and doctors are best in the league and it will hopefully have him ready in time for training camp.

Fantastic news.
He will recover from this and we can move forward. He has plenty of time to recover and get back into shape before next season (whenever that might be) starts.

3-4 months I believe.
Everyone I known that has had it recovered in that amount of time quicker. Those that know are 40+ years old too.

It's a meniscus repair surgery. He should be back on court in 3 months or less. He's 25, not 35.

Recovery time will depend on if they tried to repair the meniscus or remove part of it. Removal recovery time measured in weeks. A few months for repair. Hopefully they went with repair. It won't grow back so there is a limit to how much can be removed before he is done.

Did you ever hear the story about Shawn Bradley’s custom made mountain bike being stolen? It was stolen out of his barn? He couldn’t understand why someone would take it because it’s way too big for a normal size human to ride.
