I still haven't watched highlights from 2018 game 1, not gonna be able to watch them from this one either until/if they win the series

Davis will be fine.

That’s his shtick. When he is fatigued he milks bumps, scrapes and falls to suck wind. My biggest problem is how frequently he bails when he gets a boo boo. He will roll around in pain and won’t even make an attempt to get back on the other end. Then just when you get concerned, he comes back and plays fine.

He does it once every other game.

He earned every single FT attempt in this game.

Nah man. Davis flying at him while jumping side to side from the restricted area while making no contact with ball is a bull call apparently...

---

The thing about Butler is not him keeping all those numbers. It's him playing 45 minutes. In the last 4 games, Butler averaged 45.1 minutes per game. It's just insane and very hard to keep up with.
The issue with per75 numbers;
36pts on 27 fga/9 fta in 36 mins, does this mean he'd keep up the efficiency to get 48pts on 36fga/12fta in 48 mins?
The answer; NO. He's human, not a linearly working machine.
Per75 is efficiency rate, not actual production.

What a complete gag job by LA's cast. Honestly, never seen role players lay a bigger egg on a stage this big.

Wait really, why? I mean, I don't think Robinson goes supernova like this again. Unless you think AD's injured?

The way he was hobbling around down the stretch looked pretty bad. Just have to hope it's something that can heal quickly with treatment.

I guess the positive is that the Heat aren't likely to shoot 42% on threes or 96% from the line again and they'll do a better job shutting off Robinson's looks. On the other hand Lebron is very unlikely to have a game that dominant again.

Kuzma, Rondo, Dwight, Green, Markieff gave them absolutely nothing.

Yes, I've seen this and it's definitely a right call.
But like 2 plays before, Lebron drove and went up and was contested by the weakside Crowder who hit in the exact same way. Refs swallowed their whistles there and Lebron had to get the OREB and go back up.

That's not the same, James went on Crowder with his elbow extended. To be honest, I'd call an offensive foul on that play but I'm much more strict about offensive fouls than most people now are (probably due to watching too many 1970s games).

Come on give the Heat credit. In the middle of the game it's easy to point out some things to the refs but they did a decent job. Yes Jimmy is getting good treatment by the refs. But there was nothing really scandalous about how the game was called. See you guys Sunday for another game. Hoping for an epic one!!!

This loss is 100x worse than 2018 Finals G1. Winning that series was a pipedream anyway. This is the worst loss of LeBron's career. Could legit cost LA the series (most likely will). LeBron not getting that 4th ring after going up 3-1 is too painful to even think about.

Yeah but in his Pelican days he had plenty of real injuries that caused him to miss plenty of time every year, it's not like he never gets real injuries. We'll see on Sunday

Nunn was the difference this game. He looked like a black Dragic out there. Tyler sucks on the ball and running pick and roll

BS.

If LeBron kept getting to the line by throwing his head back (play after play), it would be bloody murder on the internet.

So, non-meltdown takes.

It's likely that LeBron, Jimmy, and the Heat don't shoot that absurdly well again. The Lakers role players also likely don't shoot as badly. Game 6 is going to be tight again, unless David really is hobbled.

Also, those 2 4 point plays added up to being the difference. Egad.

Oh he easily could have another dominant game, it's just highly unlikely it will be as good as this one. He doesn't go 6/9 from three often and he only has one off day this time which could make a difference at his age.
