I'm gonna take this even further. A healthy Bam and Goran, I seriously think they are up 3-1 after those game 1 jitters are out of the way.

This is like if those '11 Mavs were missing Terry for the whole series and one of Chandler/Marion/Kidd missed two games. Of course the Heat would have absolutely wrecked them then. And then LeBron has another title and people talk about the legendary 3HEAT team like it was some dynasty.

GarPax were so bad that they were lusting after Dunn in exchange for Jimmy. They are lucky they got Lavine.

I guess it is Paxson's mentality...either you have to be a super prospect like Derrick or an accomplished superstar like Lebron or MJ. Otherwise, you keep rebuilding until you find one.

Exactly and teams like Toronto, Denver, even the Clipper prior to this past season prove that you don’t need that to compete. There are only a few JHS like LeBron or Durant that tip the scale heavily. Obviously a guy like Giannis and Kawhi are that now. Even Boston is built with a collection of talent, and seem to fair better without the high end talent. Milwaukee is built without high end talent, Giannis just developed into it in their system but they built a really solid team aside from his growth. I mean in theory, it sounds good to say we settle for a championship or nothing right? Yet the Heatle’s wasn’t an instant championship either. The boom bust was an easy cop out for the FO

Worth trading away for sure. Definitely not worth supermax.

Jimmy went into super beast mode. And the audacity afterwards to talk about how they didn't finish the game well and that won't get it done next time. Goddam I miss Jimmy.

Whoa...was literally just having the same thought.

Is it time for that debate?

Or another that I thought might never happen, and I would’ve thought crazy until recently:

Is Jimmy competing w/Pip to be my 2nd favorite Bull/player of all time?

That's not really possible. What Scottie did that was great, he did AS A BULL. Jimmy is hitting his peak and achieving greatness with another team. Jimmy is just your favorite player that was once a Bull, but Jimmy will not be looked at as a Chicago Bull by anybody except Bulls fans.

I think the difference between Pip and Jimmy is real tiny at this point. I’m not sure who is better, but Jimmy is cut from the same cloth as our dynasty boys. Jimmy really is like a stereotype of what a Chicago Bulls player should be like. It’s absurd that GarPax didn’t appreciate him more.

It's kind of funny you say that because Jimmy wanted to be a Bull and build here but Scottie was asking for trades. Neither guy controlled his destination.

Clearly better.

There's no shot in hell Pippen could do what Butler is doing this series.

Read on Twitter

Miami's Jimmy Butler out-duels LeBron James

The only other player to record two triple-doubles in a Finals: LeBron James in 2015.

A literal headline, that is hard to believe. Yet this is the second time in a finals series? C'mon now, you people that say you can't win building with a guy like this GTFO. Maybe he can't beat Lebron James, but there's only one of those. Nonsense talk, just stop. He's basically proved everyone negative on him wrong again, and has made a career out of it. If your team can't be elite with this guy, you are not a team builder, got nothing to do with Jimmy.

Hes better than john paxson, Gar foreman, jerry reinsdorf or any money grubbing offspring there of.

The demise of the good bulls era is so painful, and while Jimmy G is still obviously a clear underdog for the COVID astirsk title, its crazy how worse and worse the decision to trade him vs super maxing him actually was for this franchise. Its becoming on par with drose's acl.

I was wrong when I said the Bulls trading him was acceptable. Flat wrong. Seemed like the Bulls FO was lost in the woods and so wtf try something else. I had always thought proper compensation was key though, and we should have been able to get that. The older I get, the dumber I am apparently. But I'm no expert basketball genius, The Bulls were supposed to be able to figure it all out. God, what a waste GarPax was, because this guy was Chicago Sports Mt Rushmore material with a top organization. I'm getting angry again, I need to step away. Really (aside from the Dynasty ending), 3 things I'll end up taking to the grave staying mad about. Hillary in 2016, Fernando Tatis Jr, and Jimmy Butler. 3 things. Ok 4, Sosa.

Yes, you were. But that's OK. I said that Bobby Portis's floor was being a 10-year NBA starter, and that Lauri was a very likely All Star.

He's not the playmaker or defender but he's significantly better as a scorer that it makes this a legitimate question.

Pippen will always be 'better' due to accolades, but pure peak and talent, this is an interesting talking point.
