Re: The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 8)
As disappointed as I am on the ending it was great watching Lebron and Butler going back and forth.
I hope everyone gets good treatment and is ready for Sunday.
This off-season is going to be interesting since it’s apparent that the current roster isn’t really quite up to par for another run.

Damn lol where did this come from?
He's been talking a whole lot of smack on the GB game threads. I'm a Heat fan, but I've always been actively rooting for Bron even after he left. But posts like that on RealGM are actually making me happy media people are gonna diminish this title in posterity due to injury, if AD's not hurt and the Lakers manage to win the title that is. When people go too hard on any side its just gonna make other people wanna see your guy fail.

Re: The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 8)
If you would’ve told me before the series LeBron was putting up 30/11/8 and shooting on 67% TS while AD was putting up 26/10/3 while shooting on 71% TS, and that Miami’s 2nd leading scorer played just half a game in the series and their 3rd leading scorer missed 2 games and some change...I would’ve expected a sweep.
Credit to the Heat but one thing’s for sure, this Lakers team definitely isn’t as good as I thought they were and would probably not win the title most years. I think the Western Conference competition is going to be tougher next season, so LA’s going to have to make some moves if they really expect to compete.

After breaking Kareem's Finals game score record for any one older than 35 in game 2, becoming the the first over 30 with 30.6, he breaks his own record now with 39.1.
1. LeBron, gm 5 in 2020, 39.1
2. LeBron, gm 2 in 2020, 30.6
3. Kareem, gm 3 in 1985, 29.2
4. Kareem, gm 2 in 1985, 28.6

They really need Game 6, you don't want AD making the injury worse in Game 6 and losing on top of it. And the Heat seem like the last team in the NBA that you would want to play in a Game 7 of the Finals, especially when one of their shooters could randomly have a 60% 3 point shooting night.

I'm right here my son. You guys hit your open shots but I don't think you hit any wild shots at all like that durin last night's game tbh. And from what I saw in the 4th your confidence was shaken and you guys were regressing to the mean missing shots once the Lakers got back in control of the game. Then the refs started bailing the Heat out with questionable calls and giving you a rhythm back. Highly doubt thats happening next game. I expected some f***ery when I saw Marc Davis who always has weird energy towards LeBron and Kane Fitzgerald the only guy to ever eject him.
Hope you keep this same energy when the regression comes and the Lakers hoist that chip. I'm really not worried tbh
gotta love how feisty you guys are tho. Hope can be a helluva drug. That comedown is gonna be a b****. At least you'll always be able to spam 'hEaT cULtUrE!!1" on every social media post and Photoshop half the league on to Heat jerseys during the off-season. Just take solace in the fact that the Lakers aren't actually gonna be celebrating on your home floor on Sunday LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. One dimension to Miami's success is that Butler doesn't have that deep-seated insecurity and fear of Lebron. I feel like that mental edge Lebron has over so many good to great teams and players is nonexistent against Butler, and the Miami organization broadly.
Lebron and the Lakers are going to have to "break the neck", so to speak, of Miami. Because anything less will result in Miami continuing to wage war.

Nah bruh trust Im good lol. I'm not the one looking like a fool talking out the side of my mouth making these guarantees. Regardless you'll have to eat the asterisk ring and I'll sleep easy knowing people think we would've won without injury lol.
So Heat didn't hit any tough shots lmao? Typical of a LeBron led defense to only allow easy looks I suppose.
It's telling you're not humbled at all by being dead wrong. What else was it you said? It was a death march? White dudes were gonna get damn near played off the floor lmao? We all see how that turned out.

Lebron, AD and kcp shot 11/22 from downtown. Rest of the team 3/16. They were the only 3 that showed up in every way.
Add greens 2/5 and everyone else was 1/11.
Lmaoooo tellin you man, there's a new Big 3 in town
. A lot had to go right for Miami to take this one too. Kudos to them for being tough, but you can't manufacture appropriate fear. You either have it for your opponent or you don't. The Lakers have been Clipper-esque all season. It should be a great closeout game Sunday. A truly confident Miami (as evidenced by how much their fanbase is yapping and posting Heat in 7) vs a focused and not-cocky Lakers team that are probably gonna play furious this time after Miami made them take their only L in the Kobe jerseys. I'm expecting a real scuffle too, but I don't think they're ready for the Lakers' final gear. Also, they definitely gamed the refs this time with all the interview comments lol. Heat fans are about to get crazy pissed when LeBron and AD shoot double digits FTs next game.

Ahaha "aStErIsK rInG" only reason you guys made it was cuz it's the bubble. You think the refs are giving you those calls last night in Staples? Aren't the Heat "built for the bubble"? It'll be funny to see the hangover next year.
Lol yea I'm not "humbled" as far as thinking anything more than the Lakers just gotta take the Heat a little more seriously. From what I saw on film every time they ran PNR at Duncan Robinson it was a wide open slip to 3. If the Lakers run an empty side PNR like they did for KCP on the left side that's a wide wide open corner shot every time. If LeBron screens Robinson he easily pins that weakling on his back, opens up a pocket pass window, and gets a 4 on 3 every time.
Im not worried at all about you guys because I know what I saw on film. Sorry that's rubbing you the wrong way but you're not on the same level as a locked in Lakers squad and I personally think they uncovered some major gems this game to exploit your gimmick defense with. Tyler Herro is damn near useless already, if they just stop losing focus around Robinson he will be essentially played off the floor cuz were just gonna exploit him and eliminate you on Sunday. Personally I don't think Dragic makes much of a difference because then you'd just be facing a more focused Lakers squad every game vs one that gets cocky in the first quarter after a win and expects you guys to roll over.
Lol I don't think you guys hit crazy shots I think you need to up the reading comprehension bud. Tough shots? Sure. That can happen, especially when you get some confidence back from weird calls tilting your way. Definitely nothing like the wild ones in Game 4 like the 2 crazy bank shots (1 that got waved off) and the Herro floater. I could see one or 2 going in next game tho.
We'll see how it turns out on Sunday with the LOB

Re: The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 8)
It has taken the two highest game scores of Butlers postseason career (by FAR) for the Heat to win the 2 games they’ve won in this series, and LA led in the 4th quarter of both games. I don’t think Butler has another one of those in him. Lakers close this out on Sunday, Lebron gets finals MVP (which he has a clear lead on right now). But still **** Danny Green.

Out of all the series that Butler has jobbed to LeBron I'm very happy with how good his jobbing has been this series. Really pushing Bron to his limits, did not expect him to have to empty the tank vs this team. I'm gonna remember this title very fondly and will have a great deal more respect for the ultimate LeBron Jobber Jimmy Butler

Vogel should let LeBron go all out. There’s no need to limit his minutes with only two games left to play
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

In 2 finals against Lebron Danny Green shot 36/69 from downtown (52.2%). In one finals with him he’s 8/31(25.8%).

Re: The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 8)
LeBron and AD both needs to play 44+ minutes. When Davis is out, you get that awful Morris at center lineup that can’t get any stops whatsoever. And when LeBron is out, the offense looks like garbage since Rondo reverted back to RS form. They need to treat Sunday like it’s the last game of the season.

Rumour is that Green, Kuzma and pick 28 for Oladipo is possible if D'antoni goes to Indy and wants to build a team.
Do you think a guy like Oladipo helps?
Cousins and Harkless would be a good add from free agency. Josh Jackson is also a cheap add for potential.
PG: Oladipo | Rondo | Bradley
SG: KCP | Caruso | THT
SF: LeBron | Harkless | Jackson
PF: Davis | Morris | Kostas
C : Howard | Cousins | McGee

Morris is a true PF.
Expecting him to defend Butler is a bit much.
Kuzma does a better job, but he is so stupid that he hurts you in more ways:
Blown rotations, stupid fouls, dumb decisions. That’s the Kuzma way.

Sure maybe bringing back Dwight if you can get him on a cheap deal would be nice but he’s getting up there in age and who knows if he’ll play with the same motivation next year.
I’m pretty much done with Green. He’ll be another year older and you can find someone else to shoot on less than 47% TS (on mostly open looks) and play decent team defense in the playoffs for far less money. If you can package him in a trade you do it. Rondo’s been decent in the playoffs on the whole but the longer it goes on the more he’s started to look like his awful regular season form. I’d still rather have a guy like Collison in his place if possible. McGee can be replaced with virtually any big body. I’m not confident in Kuzma looking any better at all. Please don’t bring back Morris; he’s the clear defensive weak link in every single lineup he’s a part of. I don’t really care to bring back Bradley either.
Way to go off the deep end there guy. You would think this team just lost in the second round (from the sounds of it).
Don't believe the hype...
