That article doesn't say anything except to paraphrase Weiss' paywalled article.

And I'm guessing it's a misparaphrase. Is there ANY reporting suggesting that the Pacers really WOULD trade Turner and Oladipo for Hayward and our available picks??

I think it’s great for Indy. Hayward was awesome before the freak injuries. It spooked me too. I go back and forth but damn if he really could get comfortable that behind in the pecking order , he really makes everyone better. I’m trusting in Danny if he keeps Gordon instead of making a trade like this.

I doubt you need to send anything POR way, honestly. Kanter is a useful player they can use. Either a fake 2nd coming back, or I bet we could get 46 without sending 30. Still a super cheap pickup for POR. We might be able to do:

POR: Kanter for 46
SAC: Poirier, 30, 46, 47 for Bjelica
BOS: Bjelica for Kanter, 30, 47.

SAC may get a higher late pick from someone else, though, is the problem. And I'd rather draft 26 than trade for Bjelica.

This would be the little more I was talking about if we could get bjelica for any of that then do that immediately. I like bjelica more than most probably though it does seem to have merit. When I do trades I like the picture myself as the opposing gm views and in this case I know I'm moving off of bjelica so what can I get back. Portland I think says I liked him and for 46 I'm in and I'm also thinking porier and 3 low picks has to be the most chances to get something

yeah, the main problem is does BKN offer 19 or DEN 22 or something like that. SAC may prefer one higher pick than multiple lowers, but who knows?

Yeah i doubt the Pacers trade them both for Hayward plus picks. Unless they are on a rebuild, which they are not. Imagine if we had Brogdon or Jrue Holiday instead of Kemba? We could probably have won the east this year, and one defensive center away from winning it all. Is there a chance we could get one of Brogdon or Jrue?

I think he opts in, then we trade him during the season. Much better if before the season. He will definitely leave after his contract. He would be looking to still get paid, and we can’t afford to pay him. Personally, i hope we don’t. I just hope Danny doesn’t **** up this time. I do think that Kemba is untouchable this time. It would make us look bad for FA’s if we trade him now.

Agreed. Trading Kemba so early into his contract, would be professional suicide for the Celtics.
Getting Hayward over to Indiana seems that it would work out for all parties involved.

Yes, there is a chance. How much is it gonna cost? More than we're willing to pay.

Turner can’t even get 30 mins a game in Indy. He’s overrated as hell by fans but coaches know his worth.

BOLD PREDICTION #2183: Timelord will end up being better than Myles Turner in two years. Maybe even as soon as end of next year, if he can stay healthy.

REVISION: It won't happen if we bring in another big and he doesn't get regular minutes.

before I could even consider anything, I would like a health update on Lamb. I mean didn't he tear something in his knee?

In 2 years? IDK. They're a bit different, in playing style.
R.Williams needs much more experience, as a Starter.

But, if Timelord can hit the occasional 3, then that may shift the balance.

would be nice but I have a hard time believing Timelord is a Brad Stevens type of player.

I'm anticipating that Lamb may need more time to heal.
But, being that Lamb and McDermott would come off the Bench. How healthy do we need him?

Because he doesn't shoot the three?

Minimum requirement for Stevens to stay on the floor is give multiple efforts on defense and know what you're doing on defense. If Robert can check that box, he will be trusted with more minutes.

The occasional 3-ball would be nice in his arsenal.
I have seen him practicing it.

just seems like I like him more than Brad Stevens does. R Williams may not be as heady as maybe he needs to be, but just in what he has shown, with his PNR lobs and shot blocking, I have always thought he should play much more even with some limitations. But Brad over used Theis while under using RW IMO.
