Precisely why this team needs to add another high volume 40% 3 pt marksman. Give me a Redick, Hield, Harris, Bertans, or Seth Curry and we would be in business. People are forgetting that we have an offensive savant in Steph Curry. Surround him with players that have to be guarded and its lights out for the rest of the league.

I don't know, look at Duncan Robinson being treated like the way the Warriors treated Korver, hunting him relentlessly whenever he played in the game.

That approach works when there’s 1 elite long-distance threat to defend. We have 2 (Curry + Klay), which largely defeats the strategy when they’re on the court together. If we could somehow get another elite long-range bomber (as suggested, Seth or somebody comparable), the continued stress on defenses to cover multiple guys all the way out to the line, and to not over-compensate on one guy, really opens things up.

Agree with Doc here, so many teams have tried to shoot 3's at a ridiculous volume. It's all about the personnel and taking the best shots available. Since Kerr came a long, he has never forced every supporting player to be a 3 point specialist but let players settle for what they're most comfortable with. That has been the Rockets biggest downfall.

I think over the last half decade, Houston maxed out the talent they had..That’s a quality run compared to what most teams did during that stretch

Losing Mike Brown would be major blow..Warriors would be down to only 37 assistant coaches

I would love to have the Warriors play against him. To me he’s a meh coach.

Probably would move Collins to lead assistant.

They could bring back Gentry as associate HC.

He's already got a job. Kings hired him as associate HC to Luke Walton.

Mike Brown seems like just a guy to me. Would have liked to get Gentry back but that's not happening now. Maybe, as people seem to be hoping, Luke gets fired then he can come back.

I would love the Warriors to take Shaka Smart from UT as an assistant head coach if Brown leaves (or even if he doesn't).

Doc supposedly getting nearly $9M a year for being the only coach to lose a playoff series after being up 3-1 more than once (3 times and counting) ... absurd.

I think one of the reasons they hired Brown was to be a buffer between Draymond and Kerr when Draymond was volatile.

Maybe ... but from what both Draymond and Kerr have said they may fight but they appreciate each other and work well together. Don't know that they are not lying, but I hope so.

Draymond played his best offensive ball of his career under Walton, that's one of the main reasons I'd like him back. He was also supposedly good at player development and championing the young guys to Kerr.

I think the Warriors are worse on the list than 9/1 odds unless they pick a guy who can start and makes ROY or is close. Or they make a trade and get a starter. I mean they have to replace KD and improve their defense and rebounding in the pivot. The Bucks finished first in the East in 2020 and will be forced to improve or else Giannis could not re-sign. The Nets have a big 3 and are set at starters and have a deep bench. Maybe we're not giving KD and Kyrie enough credit for that team. Heat now have Jimmy Butler who has something to prove and 3-pt shooters. The Clippers are the only team I have questions about, but they won during the regular season. Any of these teams can get the player to make a difference or have the extra year of experience to rise up.

Can you just say the Warriors deserve to be third best and have 9/1 odds because...?

They have the #2 pick and will draft...

They have the #2 pick and will be able to trade down and get an impact player and another FRP.

Jordan Poole or some youngster on the roster will make the starting five and be able to stretch the floor.

I think you are underestimating our core three (when healthy) They are proven winners. If we can get even half decent pieces to surround them before next season and especially if we can get some size, I take those 9/1 odds to the bank.

Wiggins is the wild card.

I looked at vids of Wiggins last night. Some are calling him a bust, but that was with the TWolves. While it's a small sample size, he did a lot better with the Warriors. His defense was better. His 3-pt shooting was still the same. If he can shoot the 3 at around 36% (he had one season at 35.6%), then he should be a keeper.

I think the Warriors have to focus on getting another deep threat. It doesn't necessarily have to be a big man. They can get a 3-pt shooter in the draft. If they can add someone who could spot start and shoot 3s off the bench then they could just add someone like JaVale. I dunno as I teams will try to get bigger. Big men are back. Trying to add someone like Miles Turner will be tough as Ws will likely have to give up Wiggins and a FRP. I rather keep Wiggins, so won't just trade him for a big man unless he can shoot 3s.
