With Clay Buchholz's no hitter today, it reminds us that we have a long streak of years without a pitcher throwing a no-hitter. The last one was exactly 35 years ago tomorrow by Milt Pappas.

And the last time we were no hit against was on September 9th, 1962 against the Dodgers. By some kid named Koufax.

If trees could scream would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason. - JH

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realgm

Check it out, we have a mention.

The site includes basketball team forums as well as off-topic, media, and graphic arts forums and on April 1, 2007 it added NHL, MLB, and NFL team boards. RealGM is currently in the top 50 forums in the world in terms of total number of posts[citation needed]. The website is particularly popular amongst Canadian basketball fans.[4] The Toronto Raptors have the biggest board on RealGM. The Chicago Cubs board is the largest MLB board.

Why am I not in there for best poster???????

I also like...

"Realgm has experienced a great deal of trouble in dealing with its volunteer legion of message board moderators. Moderators have caused numerous problems, including exacting personal vendettas against other posters, using moderator powers to promote a particular political agenda, and generally being careless and flippant in their disciplinary practices."

GYBE wrote:I want a topic where we can just talk about anything. We seem to have a good little community of regular posters here and we could stand a place to talk about non-Cub things. You can ask or post anything. Need a quick gumbo recipe? Need another guy for a neighbourhood game of stickball? Want to brag about your love of The Sandlot? Do it here. It could also increase traffic, maybe allowing us to overtake the Yankees board someday.

Or it could dissapear in a few days. Who knows, but lets give it a shot.

Anyways, for my first post here, I could use some help. The situation is this; I have a date planned with my girlfriend, but a nice casino oppurtunity looms with some buddies. What's a good excuse to use on her? Keeping her anger at a low level is the main priority.

I think everyone here would agree that treyZz is the best poster on the Cubs board.

The new toolbar at the top of the page is sexy and smooth but doesn't match any of the other page designs throughout RealGM.

When I read that headline I thought A-Rod and Jeter were getting married.
And then I figured maybe ESPN and the Yankees are finally getting married.

Wow how the might have fallen. It used to be the Knicks and Bulls board were on top. The Knicks are still 2nd. I guess there's not as much to talk about when your winning.

So do we get our own OT board like the Raptors?
OT Chicago?
Or are we just using the White Sox board as our OT?
