A testament to his clearly superior physical ability in the playoffs compared to the regular season. His dominant slashing + finishing game in the half-court just wasn't there for most of the regular season. The at-rim percentages bear this out. 79% in the playoffs as opposed to 73% in the regular season. The superior 3pt shooting (37% in PS vs. 34% in RS) was an added bonus.

They should name the eastern conference champion trophy after LeBron. 25 straight series victories over the East now. Hasn't lost a series to an eastern conference team for more than a decade.

It's a pipe dream most likely, but if the Lakers somehow get Chris Paul this off season....

Is LeBron still changing his number to 6 and giving AD 23? I wonder how the Lakers will handle retiring LeBron's 23 when AD is likely to build up a long Lakers legacy in that number too. You can't not retire a FMVPs number.

The FG% of LeBron has been 50% or better in 16 of his last 19 playoffs games in 2020!

When Davis swung the ball, he promptly turned to the Heat’s family and friends section sitting courtside and yelled, “That sh-- is dead!”

“You ain’t nothing,” Caldwell-Pope shouted at Robinson with 2:50 left in the half while Miami’s Bam Adebayo was at the free-throw line. Referee James Capers warned Caldwell-Pope to cool it down and he replied, “He’s the one talking sh--. He ain’t getting nothing tonight.”

Love it.

But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I wonder if KCP is okay coming back on a 1 year deal for 2021 cap space?

Source? I thought FA will be after the draft, somewhere in late November

Looks like around Dec 1st now, guess it was changed (makes more sense)

I like player of the year award. How many times has he been the best player but doesn't get MVP or FMVP? Player of the year looks at season and the whole of playoffs.
Only 7 Players in NBA history have 21,000 points, 5,750 assists and 5,750 rebounds. LeBron has double those numbers.

That is so mind-bogglingly laughable. He has not lost 4 out of 7 to an entire conference in a **** near-decade.

Player of the year award would be cool but would they add that when they already have regular season and finals MVPs?

I’d love to see it though. I’ve wanted them to make an award like that for a while now, and it’d be the perfect award to name after LeBron.

I wouldn't get him if I were the Lakers. I mean sure it could work out great but I think there's a chance it turns things a little sour chemistry wise and then on top of that the chance that he gets hurt and then all the money you tied up in him is worthless for the playoffs. Sure any player can get hurt but I think the chances with a 35 yr old CP3 are a bit higher than with the average guy. Its a risk I'm not sure the Lakers need to take.

I think it could be some kind of humanitarian award for off the court stuff similar to the Roberto Clemente award in mlb unless the nba already has one for that.

Throwback to JVG saying the Lakers should consider trading LeBron. He wasn’t the only one saying that either. Honestly, as a LeBron fan I think this ring is the sweetest one that he’s gotten. It’s hard to top 2016, but after all the noise we heard about LeBron for nearly two seasons, after it looking like he was never going to win another ring after KD went to Golden State, this one is so so sweet.
