I mean usually if you win a chip he should be more available than losing in the finals like Kawhi did in Toronto.
But he already said no which I understand to get into that all time top 50 which he will if he wins 2 more with bron as Kobe and Shaq with shaq being AD.

My only gripe is he signs a 4yr deal which makes it impossible to land for the Bulls bc they wll never trade him.
If he keeps signing 1yr, 2yr deals like Lebron and becomes a Bull after Lebron retires, im perfectly fine.
Because 3 yrs is enough time for AK to turn into ecf contenders the way he did in Denver AD away from favorites .

If he pulls Dwade and betrays, yeah theres no place for him. Not accepting a washed up 35 yr old 6-10.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

It’s way more possible than people think. I’d even say it’s likely. I’m just a guy on the internet though.
I'm not here to argue.

There's a negative probability he opts out to sign here, we have about $3 million cap space.

I don't get the idea he'd even consider it. No Chance and never was.

If LA had lost and there was strife, maybe...but that didn't happen. Move on.

I'm sure he'll do 1+1's until Bron leaves or retires.

Why would the Lakers, Lebron or AD agree to that?

I saw a quote where he said he plans on winning 10 titles with LeBron, so no I don't think this happens, unless we happen to sign LeBron as well. OK, joke aside, he's going to re-sign in L.A. in the hopes of collecting a fistful of rings.

Oh god, it never dawn on me the possibility of LBJ possibly playing till his mid 40s. Basketball is already on my periphery of sports viewership but if LBJ is even considered playing till his mid 40s, NBA will drop below soccer, WNBA, Rugby, and Australian Rules Football in terms of my interests.

There mere idea of LBJ playing another 10 years is annoying, so I hope that does not become a reality. But man AD is delusional if he thinks he is going to win 10 titles with LBJ.

It was a goofy comment by AD honestly. People took it as a fact and it was anything but. Lebron has stated though he wants to play in the NBA with Bronny though which would be at least 4 more years

He won in the Lakers, they actually have him paired with Lebron and can improve their team... why would he come here far away from titles and even in a worse position than he was with the Pelicans after they drafted Zion?

The annual pipedream "AD to Chicago" thread

AD is quite saavy, we all know it is most likely a foregone conclusion he will re-up for the 5 year monster MAX with the Lakers. But, he hasn't committed to resigning even after winning his first ring.

I figured it was worth discussing. He sounds like he is going into FA to check out options. Who knows, maybe he will take meetings and with our new FO, coach, etc we just might have a puncher's chance to get a seat at the table.

Totally expect him to re-sign with the Lakers, but it will be interesting to see how many years he wants. LeBron can opt out after next season, so does AD go for a 1+1 deal? Or does he want long-term security and bets on the Lakers being good no matter what happens with LeBron?

He's clearly not coming to Chicago this offseason, but who knows what happens in 2 years. Hell, even until next offseason everything could change. A shorter deal keeps the dream alive, I guess.

He would have to take a 1+1 for there to even be a meeting next year.

i'd say there's a 50/50 shot of him signing with us this offseason vs. signing a 1+1 with LA so he can join giannis in chicago next offseason

lots of buzz around the league about how anthony davis is tired of propping up the legacy of a washed-up lebron james.

davis reportedly wants to lead his own team alongside a master of the game who's still in his prime (tomas satoransky)

If I was AD, I would test other environments. He was the best scorer and defender on the team, but never got MVP like credit because of you know who. I think him staying in LA may involve what Lebron plans to do pass next season.

When I see a guy that long and tall being that agile, I think that he may not indeed be possible. I know Bam Adebayo is thinking that very thing, after receiving a basketball lesson.
