(and that from all of them we have just one rotation player!)

(and he played all of 8 min in game 1)

(I thought about typing 'borderline rotation player' but decided I didn't want to get into a "is Grant Williams a rotation player?" argument)

(yep, makes sense. I just had to think about who it was even, then figured it must've been him)

If only they picked Bol Bol so they could have played him down the stretch in game 7 and switch everything on defense and forced FVV to shoot an airball.

Thoughts on Romeo potentially playing point guard down the line?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/hardwoodhoudini.com/2020/06/06/boston-celtics-langford-point-guard/amp/

If he can make the transition AND we draft a quality wing this year, our size/length/talent for the future would be incredible.

I think that he's a shooting guard, who's athletic enough to play the 3. But also capable as a 1.
I think that he could be in the mold of Evan Turner, as our 2nd ball-handler on the 2nd unit.

Should have drafted Clarke and Thybulle instead of wasting 4 picks again. None of these players will be rosterable for a competing team.

Clarke is almost 40 and Matisse is a better blogger than basketball player.

Guards = Kemba + Smart + Jaylen + Romeo = minutes crunch...

Kemba = 32 minutes per game
Jaylen = 36 minutes per game
Smart = 28 minutes per game (16 at backup PG, 14 at backup 2)

I guess that means Romeo or Jaylen has to play the 3 some, which is fine except....

Forwards = Gordon + Tatum + Grant Williams

Tatum = 36 mpg
Gordon = 30 mpg
Grant = 12 mpg

So basically that leaves~18 minutes per game available for Romeo at either SG or SF. Not sure how he finds much more without a trade. And of course this all assumes our new draft picks, Wannamaker, Semi, Carsen, Javonte, Tremont don't play at all...

(For posterity, Center = Theis + RW3 + Kanter

Theis = 24 mpg
RW3 = 12 mpg
Kanter = 12 mpg)

Ironically guys like Bam Robinson and Herro are the best things to happen for the careers of guys like Rob, Grant, Romeo, etc. The Celtics got a front row view of an organization that actually believes in and develops their young talent instead of letting them rot behind mediocre veterans. That must have been hard for Danny to take watching their young players dominate us. He won't let it happen again.

Liking Grant more and more. Keep this kid. He's gonna be an integral part of our future. Winning player. I can just sense it.

He's at least a Roll Player. He might end up being a Starter.

I think he's a career backup player, but not really the point. This team needs to grow its collective IQ esp if we lose Hayward. Grant helps with that.

Grant isn't going to be elite at anything sorry not sorry.
Let's just hope ainge doesn't mess it up by drafting the same thing this year.
Maybe a miracle happens and they all get taller, smarter and healthy. anyway you slice as of now all 7 have been duds

I agree. He has a good head on his shoulders. Good BBIQ, for a Rookie.
