***The 2020 NBA Off-Season Thread***

The Lakers just won another title and we are finally here, the official NBA off-season, really curious to see how this one plays out. Last summer it was wild, this could be a lot more tame but who knows.

Finally. Can't wait to see what we do. I have a feeling we're gonna surprise some people next year

I wonder what MIA are going to do. Butler is 31yo. He still has couple of solid years, but injury risk is very high as well. Riley IMO will acquire an underrated star like Jrue Holiday to compliment, I am not sure that bringing back 34yo Dragic makes much sense for them. It definitely will be a wild offseason.

Have AD, DH and McGee just saved OO and Wiseman from dropping out of draft top5?

Kind of random and under the radar pickup, but I see Ed Davis going to Miami this offseason. Fills a need and fits the culture to a T. Fits in their TPE that was produced when they traded JJ to us

I think the Warriors will smoke everyone in the playoffs next year. Curious to see what Miami does to try and get over the hump, I feel like the east should be a lot more competitive next season but who knows. Still surprising the Bucks, Sixers, Celtics, and Raptors got beat out by Miami to the finals.

I'm gonna report this post for mentioning the L a kers. We need a break from the team that shall no longer be named for a while.

It's funny how quickly people jump on trends like small ball and assume that's the best way to build now... which is based on zero championship wins by small ball teams (the Warriors had Cousins/Bogut/McGee during their wins).

Couple Lakers FA we should look into.. Dwight Howard, Rondo, KCP. DH and Rondo are washed up but are solid defenders. Maybe they're willing to take vet mind. KCP would be good signing for MLE.

I have a very hard time following you in faith in the Warriors. They don't have Durant any more and they are old and coming off injuries to their 3 Prime Time Players. If they get somebody good by trading the #2 pick they can compete in the west. I can see them anywhere from a 2-5 seed. I think the team that shall not be named is still superior.

Congrats to LeBron James the GOAT. Here a clip from CBSSports.

While LeBron's overall place in history, especially compared to Jordan, is still being litigated, this award (finals MVP) undoubtedly gives him a unique edge over practically every superstar in league history. No matter where he has played, James has led his team to a championship. No player has ever been able to say the same for as many teams, and in all likelihood, no other player ever will.

Yes I know that Jordan won all 6 finals he played in, but people forget about him losing in the first round. I don't think LeBron ever did that. He has led his team to 10 finals including a Cavaliers team that had nobody else.

That was quick. What happened to due diligence?
Is Morey stepping down under pressure or just feels like taking it easy for a while?

Why wait that long? FA should start the day after the draft IMO. That will give a chance to start the season by Christmas day which would be a nice present for the fans. On the other hand we are still dealing with this stupid virus and I guess pushing the season back a bit to have a better chance at fans attending is probably for the best.
