Phi needs a restart/shake up, and maybe they Will trade Simmons. A to get rid of horford contract would be Nice.

Major 4 team trade
Phi in: j. Johnson, m. Beasley (via s&t 3 years 20 million), portis, Schröder, robinson, 2020 nr 8 (nyk), dal 21 @ rnd
Out: b. Simmons, horford, korkmaz, pelle, nr 49 and nr 58 2020.

Min gets Simmons and korkmaz (out nr 1 pick, johnson, culver, beasley, nr 17 pick 2020)
Nyk gets nr 1 pick, C. Paul, pelle (out nr 8 2020, Payton, knox, portis, robinson, dal 2021 1rnd)
Okc gets horford, culver, knox, payton, nr 17, nr 49 and nr 58 2020 (out cp3 and Schröder).

Min gets another star, nyk get nr 1 and C. Paul, okc less payroll young picks in knox en culver and Some draft potential go rebuild.

Phi
Pg Schröder/Milton/micic
Sg beasley/Milton/Richardson/thybulle
Sf thybulle/j. Johnson/z. Smith
Pf Harris/portis/scott
C Embiid/robinson
Nr 8 take vassell (sf)
Still have nr 21, 34, 36
And phi could use mle for whoever they think is most valuable/needed. Someone like Teague maybe

To become a contender Again you could wait a year, hope you get good picks with nr 21, 34 and 36 and get rid of exp contracts (johnson, portis, Schröder) and strike in free agency.
Or try to trade now for Someone like brogdon, oladipo, dinwiddie, lavert, lavine, mccollum, jrue holiday with jrich, z. Smith, scott, micic, nr 21, 34, 36 and dal 21 1rnd pick (and maybe Other picks).

That's probably the worst Simmons deal I've seen. Nice work? Things didn't work out this year so an awful trade should fix things?

I believe it's highly unlikely the Sixers acquire Chris Paul. Just my assumption here

1. There will be a handful of teams interested in Paul and I'm sure at least one will stumble into "overpay-land" and we'll drop out of the running maybe early too

2. All trades need to be salary matched and if we're not trading either of our two stars (and rightfully so) then our two big contracts are Horford and Harris. Doc has a good history with Harris. Again, just my opinion but I think Doc wants to keep Harris and move him back to the 4 where he had a lot of success both in LA and Detroit. So unless we're talking a three way for Horford that generates assets OKC wants (and beats all other offers) I just don't see a legal and sensible trade here

@youngcrev
Remember its not only a Simmons trade, it is also get rid of horford trade. That lessens the value significantly.
True you miss getting back a star, but you get a lottery pick (although weak draft), future pick, and 3 (!) expiring contracts for more flexibility after 2021, and usefull rotation players who can shoot (beasley, portis, Schröder) and young cheap back up voor Embiid in robinson.
Maybe you could get Some more of nyk (Smith/nitikina/bullock) or Some pick swap, or future
And If you trade Some of this pieces as i mentioned for Someone like brogdon, jrue, or Some Other Guy at this list, it looks more promising already.

I hope rivers Will make a Simmons/Embiid combo work. But not so many assets to make significant changes.

Even the return on a Simmons/Horford deal has to be a whole hell of a lot better than this.

With that being said, the idea of using Simmons to dump Horford is a very bad one.

Not the sexiest trade, but Charlotte could be a potential landing spot for Harris:

Harris, Scott, Zhaire, 2nd for Batum and Zeller.

Harris could be a solid fit running p&r's with Graham and Rozier. That team desperately needs to add scoring depth.

We shed Harris' salary and add a switchable defender/capable outside shooter in Batum along with a quality backup for Embiid.

If CHA would go for that without multiple 1sts, you have to do it. Although you should probably add a third team and try to move that big expiring with 21 for a player that would actually help. Batum is cooked.

In general Simmons is valued too low, sometimes i think here he is valued too high.

IDeal trades and somewhat realistic would be:
Harris and jrich for mccollum and ariza

Or horford and jrich (+pick probably) for hield and bjelica/Joseph.

What wont happen: Simmons and horford (or Harris) for fox (but then he has to sign extension), hield, barnes.

Fox/Milton/pick 21
Hield/korkmaz/pick 49
jrich/thybulle/pick 34
Harris/barnes/scott
embiid/pelle/mle/pick 36

I could live with that line up!?
Phi has to take and make Some good picks for cheaper contracts upcoming years.

Could a package trade Simmons/horford work, Some people above say it wont/is bad idea.

4 trade packages for Simmons/horford (maybe a pick/picks or player attached).

Do you like them? Dont know If they are but they fit salary wise
1. Dinwiddie, deandre Jordan, waller price and levert.
2. Lavine, Porter, Carter and C. White.
3. Murray, aldridge, Mills, d. White
4. Love, sexton, Nance and osman.

Probably 4 doesnt look too good for phi starwise, phi would want additional pick (s) i think, still long contract love.
In all you get a backup center back. In all you get Some more depth.
In case of nr 1, i think brooklyn is really strong contender (durant, irving, Simmons )....
2. Gets phi still developing players with Carter and White, and borderline star with lavine.
3. Doesnt look too exciting, but both White and Murray are good in defense and if they can develop even more..aldridge and Mills only 1 year contract and just solid back up....

If we use Ben to offload Horford, I'm quitting this team.

The Lavine/White deal is intriguing from a skillset aspect. Two gunners who can get hot with a switchable wing and backup big (who can spot start). That is exactly what the team needs...however said skillsets are coming from one of the worst teams in the league and at the expense of one of the best defenders in the league...soooooooo yeah.

Philadelphia Out: Al Horford, Josh Richardson, picks 21,34 in 2020 and the Knicks 2nd in 2021
Golden State Out: Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, pick 2 in 2020

Both Teams get better players that fit their rosters. Wiggins' contract is worse than Horford's. Horford and Richardson play the Bogut and Iggy roles for GS.

Richardson and Horford to Sac for Heild, Bjelica and Joseph

Zhaire, Scott and 21 for DRose

The roster is much more balanced and deep without sacrificing any key pieces. Some may not want to give up 21, but in this draft I don’t think there’s a huge difference between who we’d be interested in at 21 than who’d be available in the early 2nd.

Rose/Joseph
Heild/Shake
Harris/Thybulle/Kork
Ben/Bjelica
Jo/Pelle

Have the mid level exception + 2nd round picks for more depth
