How about #2 (LaMelo?) + Chriss for #8 + Bobby Portis + 2022 FRP?
the mav's pick? Maybe

The worse of the Knicks and Mavs 1st round pick.

Wouldn't that always be the Knicks' pick (even if it were #1)? :P :-?
Oopss - my fault - thought u said either Knicks OR Mavs pick...

I assume the best case scenario is Smith JR and our 27 for #15. I like hearing Smith is motivated, but I would take this trade.

We could potentially come away with some combination of Vassell, Hayes, Haliburton, Lewis, and P. Williams.

I think a more realistic move would be to trade Randle for Horford a 2020 pick swap (pick #27 to pick #21), and the 2021, 76ers pick. Then trade this years 76ers pick #21 and DSJ for Aminu (cost saving move for Orlando) and pick #15.

With those two picks grab say Vassell at #8 and P. Williams at #15.

Now the real art of these trade is the Knicks would still have about $25 Mil to throw at Van Vleet.

It would basically result in the KP trade netting the Knicks Van Vleet, Aminu, Horford, and four 1st round picks (2 Mavs pick, 2020 Clippers pick, and 2021 76ers pick.)

Wouldn't it be easier to take Harris instead of Horford?

How about our 8th pick + DSjr + Knox + two 2nd rounders for Isaac? Maybe throw in $3m and take on Aminu as well.

An Isaac and Mitchel front court is intriguing even though Isaac is out for a while...

No Harris is more money and more years. With Horford, we would still have cap space to take on Aminu’s contract and chase VanVleet.

I would want Orl pick next year too (just let Isaac sit the year) and tank...but I want 3 picks in 2021 because I'm risking it all for Cade if I'm the Knicks.

In sol537 scenario we would only get Issac in that trade. Issac isn't worth 3 1st rd picks, especially coming off an ACL injury.

If your saying Orlando would have to give us this year's 15th pick and their #1 next year for that package, I would be okay with that. I would remove those 2nd rounders though

If Rose dreams of signing Giannis in 2021 he should trade for Beal this offseason.

I do realize it but that's the only reason they may consider moving him. When healthy, he and Mitch would be nasty.

The draft period is always exciting, but a pick swap of 6 places in the 20s and what would probably be a low first round pick in 2021 is not enough of a payoff for taking on one of the worst contracts in the league in Horford. Harris is at least still in his prime and serviceable - although I wouldn't do that deal either. Horford would take at least 2 1st rounders to move. Maybe I would do a pick swap this year, their first pick next year, and their first round pick in 2023 as a starting point.

I'm honestly in no hurry to trade Dennis Smith Jr especially if he's going to be considered as almost a fill in type guy. I understand folks are furious with him but it doesn't make sense to basically just give him away. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're angry...ok. Get over it.

Horford’s contract isn’t one of the worst, it is bad. He clearly got overpaid. So it would be great if we can get the 2023 Philly pick, in addition to a 2020 pick swap and 2021 draft pick. Just note the final year of Horford’s contract isn’t fully guaranteed and drops down to only 14 mil that year. Also his stats when Embiid was out due to injury weren’t washed status.

14.3 PTS/ 7.5 REB/ 5.5 AST/ 42.3 FG%/ 29.2 3P%

Not great stats but outside of FG% on par with Horford’s career stats. Add to that defense and him being a positive role model to young players and I am not against that trade. On a team full of young guys on rookie contracts it wouldn’t be the worst thing
