Hal needs to sell the team. He is joining a list of very bad NY sports owners in Dolan, Mara and Johnson.

Yeah. Hal Steinbrenner is shifty. If you try to claim that he's cheap he'll throw Gerrit Cole or Giancarlo Stanton in your face but not show you that the gap between revenue and expenses (including the contracts) is greater for the Yankees than any other team.

That's why I just said for him to fire Cashman cause there's no reality in where the Steinbrenners sell the team.

We're stuck with them just like we're stuck with Dolan.

Yeah it's not like the Steinbrenners have other things going on. They have business interests in other things but nothing remotely close to the Yankees. This is THE family business. Dolan at least has flirted with selling the sports teams and just keeping the entertainment/concerts part of the business.

Blames injuries repeatedly, then says "no excuses". Huh?

Did not commit to DJL...hard to tell if it's his natural blasse personality or he just doesn't see the great need to bring him back at "all costs".

If you thought the Lakers vs Heat finals ratings were terrible, just wait until you see the abominable numbers of a Rays vs Braves fall classic.

lol yeah. The only positives out of this are not having to listen to insufferable Astro's fans running their mouths about the cheating not mattering and watching Jose Altuve (screw that girly sounding lying biatch) turning into the 2020 version of Chuck Knoblauch.

I think MLB would be happy to have a team that always is in the bottom in attendance represent them in the WS in a year in which fans aren't allowed to attend games. If the Rays win the WS nobody is going to care besides Dick Vitale, the mayor of St. Petersburg and that one Rays fan that you always here in the background during their home games.

Half the Rays roster won't even be in the league 5 years from now, which makes it even more frustrating.

They're a bunch of players that are overperforming beyond their expectations.

Tbf, Rays v anybody would probably be a ratings dud. Gotta give the rays credit for staying alive all these years with that fanbase, and stadium. Really nothing like that in major sports.

Astros sucking, Altuve with the yips. Wish it would have been us doing this to them, but can't lie, feels like justice is beginning to come for them. Hope the anger doesn't die down with the end of this season. They deserve more scorn.

Similar to the 2008 Rays that made it all the way to the WS. Most of those guys were either traded or left as free agents within 3 years.

There's a reason why it took MLB nearly 100 years to start a franchise in the state of Florida. Very little fan support there unless it is football, Nascar or golf.

That's the thing...how much of the Rays over achieving immensely is because of Kevin Cash being able to flip switches and get his guys to buy in on the "next man up" concept (much) more consistently than the Yankees and when it matters most for the Rays [turns to look at Boone]. Something about Cash on the outside says "a-hole" but there's a reason why he should be the AL manager of the year.

We literally invented "next man up"

and there was no "next man up" in the Playoffs since we had our entire lineup intact.

Overall, this team failed to capitalize on the big moments once again. There's no clutch factor when it comes to this team.
