Is that how that supposedly went ?

Basically, yes. Apparently NYK has a standing offer of #8 & 27 for #1. Minny wants Mitch but Knicks aren't budging. Supposedly Atl also has a standing offer as well.

Any new news from your guy?

there is a rumor going around that a knicks player was talking to someone who said that player said Mitch and Kenny Payne are tied together at the hip. Like Mitch isn't even part of the team  . its just Mitch and Kenny working and he is just focused on him.

Kira Lewis last 10 games:

22.8 PTS
6.4 AST/2.7 TO
1.9 STL

FG%: 49.4
3PT%: 47.5

He didn't even turn 19 until AFTER the season. he's younger than a lot of the freshman in this draft

Adding to what knickstape4ever said a page back, I think Mitch has a lot of natural talent and touch, even if his role has been, ahem, rim running.

I think Payne will at least, THIS OFFSEASON, add a few small things that will make him a more effective player and on the road to a more complete offensive player.

Like a one dribble move, drop step, jump hook, short jumper - ok, that's several things, but I think he winds up showing all of them this year. Maybe even some 3's. But more the close in in stuff.

He'll still be dependent on someone getting him the ball, but with more variety. Then NEXT season, more development.

My personal PG preference list:

LaMelo
Hayes
T Terry
Kira

Haliburton

Should be able to come out of the draft with one of the top 4

I don't have specific timing. But the convo with the knicks player happend like a week ago. And said that Mitch is like in Kenny Payne school. They barely see mitch around the facility as he and Kenny are working individually together.

I'm thinking if the Knicks sweeten the pot by adding that Dallas pick, it's a done deal. #8, 27 and 2021 1st for #1 & Ball. If Ball is that franchise savior- definitely worth it but if he's a bust....

in the second part you can see behind the backboard it says St. Bernard Parish

wikipedia -

St. Bernard Parish (French: Paroisse de Saint-Bernard; Spanish: Parroquia de San Bernardo) is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. As of the 2010 census, the population was 35,897.[2] The parish seat and largest community is Chalmette

I'd take him at 8. my preference tho would be to take Vassell at 8 and acquire another pick/move up from 27 for Kira (or RJ) but if they dont think Kira makes it too far past 8, then ya gotta take him there

Read on Twitter

Suns at 10 seem to like him so he might go a lot earlier than the mocks suggest

would love to come out of this draft w/ Vassell and Lewis + someone like Woodard/Tillman, 2 high IQ players, great work ethic players

Hmmm..... perhaps spending all that time with Mitch increased Kenny Payne’s desire for Wiseman. Curious on the timing with the smoke regarding the interest in Wiseman.
