competitiveness and mvp level play

why would anyone want that in NYC if it costs money?

Do you really think the Knicks don't want competitiveness and high level play? Many think that the Knicks need to spend their money carefully on those who can help elevate the team's performance, and see a lot to dislike in Westbrook's ability to do what it would take to give us enough bang for the buck.

Have you watched Westbrook play the last few seasons?

If you think CP3's contract is bad then Russell's is the literal devil lol.

you misunderstood me

i think fans on this board largely dont want competitiveness but want to play tank for picks and save money for x player in x years from now

Westbrook is an MVP level player. was mvp very recently. We would be lucky to get him.

now the question should be how much are we willing to give up

He’s only been with Houston one season. He was already on the decline pre-Houston and is getting worse. He’s on the wrong side of 30 and his game is based on athleticism. Plus can’t shoot in a league that values shooting. I’m not even talking about the garbage contract. That’s just the cherry on top.

You need to stop valuing style over substance. The Knicks have been doing that for 2 decades under Dolan. It’s led them nowhere.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

we’re getting linked to old ass CP3 and his atrocious contract and a garbage, incredibly flawed player like Russ and his trash deal

anyone still talking like Russ is a MVP level player needs to just stop...

fck both of those options

get on the phone and see what’s up with Harden

if we’re trading for anyone, it needs to be him

I wouldn’t mind having someone like him because he elevates the level of play but those 3 years left are scary as hell.

The Knicks had no interest when Westbrook was put on the block in the summer of 2019 but that was when former president Steve Mills was in a more patient mode. Rose is looking to jump-start this rebuild, realizing November’s draft may not land an eventual star with the No. 8 pick.

-Berman

I'm guessing this is just Berman fulfilling his weekly quota but if we seriously did go after Westbrook that would be the most disgusting, classic Knicks move made possibly ever, and that's saying something

Can't believe I'm saying it, but Steve Mills was right

I'm just gonna assume its a BS non-story, but both Begley and Berman brought it up which had me nervous

The offer starts with Randle, RJ, Mitch, #8 and a couple of future picks.

OMG the rumors coming out of this regime just continue to get worse and worse...

They need to speak up and confirm whether I truly need to disengage from interest in this franchise once and for all

They’re not starting the rumors, nor do they care about your disengagement.
