not only would Cole Anthony be a steal ar #21, he's someone I would trade up for

shot creation and scoring instincts would help a ton

Cole Anthony's upside is a combo guard off the bench. He has a .500 TS%. Terrible at the rim. Wasn't a particularly good defender. His comparison (at the time they both came out of college) is Jordan Clarkson. Not really worth the pick imo.

Did you guys see the WT about how Tyrell Terry is receiving “mid 1st round interest”? LOL

Sounds like our boy Elton is tipping his hand again.

I think it was inevitable. If he's grown since the season ended, then he has more allure. He put up star potential stats and has a very high BBIQ. It was a matter of time IMO.

He was slowly rising before that Elton comment came out, especially since they reported he's 6'3 now. Sigh

Watch him get snagged much higher than in mocks ala Cam Johnson

On the other hand, Trent Forrest's shot looks ok. If he can consistently hit threes, he's a Dejounte Murray type candidate.

Get a player like Clarkson with a 21 it is a good pick. He is a potential six man of the year

Clarkson is on his third team in six years. He's the type of guy that won't pan out on the team that drafts him. I also see those types of picks to be highly volatile compared to 2 way players with excellent advanced stats. Not my kind of prospect.

Some people say his terrible stats are due to lack of floor spacing at NC. That he proved in high school to be a much better shooter than he showed in college.

If we end up w/him then I hope that's the case. .750 FT gives some cause for hope, but not that he'll be an elite shooter, just ok and not turrible.

My reservation is if he were the blue chip prospect he was billed to be, then he would have elevated UNC to at least a winning team. He also finished the year with a huge wet fart of a statline: final 3 games, 8ppg, 3apg, 57% FT, 18% 3FG, 26% FG. This is on a HOF coached team with, presumably, highly rated recruits that he's accumulated over time. Conversely, Tyrell Terry played with mediocre shooters around him and elevated the team's performance.

It's the same reason why I don't think it's a coincidence the stars and top role players of the league put up very impressive advanced numbers the year they got drafted. There are certainly outliers, but I'd rather target the guys who fit the mold that have been overwhelmingly successful in the pros.

Anthony missed time with an injury/surgery - I'm not weighing my whole evaluation of him on just stats from that year

There is no possible way Anthony is there at 21 when we draft. If we want him, we're going to have to move up to get him.

This feels like an outdated take. Right now it appears Cole Anthony is falling while Tyrell Terry is rising.

Terry seems good but his shot always looks a half second too slow for the NBA. I never see highlights of him firing 3s at Trae Young or Steph Curry speed. You guys don't think he'll have a problem finding enough space in the NBA?

Devon Dotson seems good as well. Good defensive stats and gets to the line a lot. What's keeping him from being a first rounder? Size and his shot?

Cassius has some issues to his game. He lacks length, is a non-passer, and does not create deflections. Duke gave him plenty of time on the court to show who he is. I don't think he's a lost cause or anything, but his profile doesn't really intrigue me.
