Warriors aren't looking for a savior at the center position so it wouldn't surprise me if they're interested in Dwight. Dwight would be here to come in time to time to grab boards to fuel the fastbreak and use his body to defend some of the bigger players.

Marquese Chriss, Kevon Looney, Dwight Howard rotation with Draymond playing center when it's time for the death line-up.

Chriss will be the athletic bouncy rim runner who will now benefit with the elite spacing that a healthy Splash Brothers provide in conjunction with Draymond's passing ability when slashing in the paint. Dwight comes in and can just focus on a few things as a specialist, which will help him maximize his playing time because he won't be expected to do everything.

If Warriors keep their #2 pick, they probably draft Deni Avdija who's a legitimate 6'9" who can move up to the PF position in small-ball line-ups while Draymond plays center. Avdija has the size and versatility; shooting is suspect but can be improved, but the FO probably values his ability to handle the ball, run the floor and make passes at his size. Either him, or they trade down and grab a backup PG like Tyrese Haliburton or go for a lesser hyped 2-way player like Devin Vassell.

GSW has the luxury to reach/gamble in the draft on someone like Deni, because unlike other lottery teams, they already have a core of win-now players in Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Wiggins can be considered win-now if you'd like, that is if the team keeps him this offseason. Just hope it doesn't turn out like Detroit and their #2 pick from 2003.

No we do not have the luxury to reach regarding the #2 pick ever. You do not want to end up with Marvin Bagley and skipping Luka

Dwight has negative things to say about Draymond the year we lost to the Cavs and blew the 3-1 lead. He basically blamed it on Draymond for getting suspended and said he deserved it.

Now even if he’s right about that, I’d bet a significant amount of dollhairs that Draymond hasn’t forgotten.

Doesn't matter, for the same amount of money, he will re-sign with the Lakers, though Javale has a player option with them.

Even at 35 years old I can’t see a rookie center dominate Dwight. He’s so damn strong.

If we signed Dwight, drafted Deni, and used the TPE to fill in 1 or 2 solid depth guys, I'd be pretty happy with that outcome.

Dang I didn't realize it was the Warriors who expressed interest. But it sounds like he's interested in returning to the Lakers anyways.

Something both LeBron and Dwight have in common: Trying to catch up to the greats of MJ and Shaq, in rings, respectively.

We didn't sign Dwight.

Listen this might not be popular but I truly believe that for the 2021 season Howard > Wiseman.

We need to think short term in my opinion and I believe Howard makes more of an impact sooner where we would probably have to wait on Wiseman.

I'd draft Wiseman if there's nothing going for the team aka re-build phase. But, this isn't a re-building team.

Can you elaborate? Like give me line for line comparisons.

Because offensively Wiseman is already better. Especially at the foul line.

I would obviously give Howard the edge on rebounding, but I’d bet the kid is close on a per minute average.

Shot blocking would be a wash.

Running the floor- advantage Wiseman.

Screen setting Dwight but only because he’s ancient. But screen setting would be something you could easily teach the kid.

I think Wiseman is gonna be an All Star. So you’re asking me to pass on him, for a slight advantage in 2021? Which the kid could be better than him next season, we just don’t know yet

I don't think it's either-or. Just because you're not rebuilding doesn't mean you can't look to the future. Seems like it should be possible to get help now, whether Dwight (not my choice) or someone else, and still prepare for the future. Now, if they think Wiseman is going to flame out that's one thing, but I think they should still look for someone in the draft that they think they can build around down the line.
