I like simple trades with as few moving pieces as possible so if we want to keep it simple,

Bledsoe for Bojan S&T 18.9m + Corey Joseph (immediately cut/traded with 2 2nds)

You would cut him upon arrival? I guess if you think he's wasted space, but just eating $15M makes me uneasy. I'd just keep him for PG depth and then waive him next year.

No you eat 2.4m. He's partially guaranteed and is treated like that in a trade unless you fully guarantee it (which we won't have to at the above figure).

The partial guarantee is for the 21-22 season.

Again unless the Knicks are highly motivated to get Bledsoe we shouldn't start with 3 teams trades. We'll end up overpaying. Figure out way to do it without a third team and if a third team comes in in the end because they value a piece we're sending out it will be to our benefit.

Isn't he partially guaranteed for the '21-'22 season? He's still owed his $12.6 for the '20-'21 season as far as I can tell.

Ersan + DJ + MKE '24 1st (lottery protected) for Bogdan ($16M starting)

I hope that would get it done. As LuessiT said, there are a few different ways to skin the BYC cat. I would avoid using Brook to make money work though.

Problem I see is they'd essentially be paying 16M for a number 24 pick. DJ is useless. Ersan is fine but not sure they'd want or see being able to flip him for value. SAC would be way better just not getting involved. Probably need to come up with some other value to them by giving a player they'd want or taking back bad salary somehow. Or maybe get a 3rd team in somehow to reroute a contract into their cap space so SAC doesn't take on the whole amount.

They would be paying $11.5M, for one season, for a future 1st and a flyer on a local kid in DJ, rather than matching a 4/$64M Bogdan deal.

Oh yea I forgot its not a full match. Either way the point is true, 11.5m for a pick that late is way out of line with market. Reroute one of those contract elsewhere though and you're onto something. Wilson is complete nothing but salary filler.

Bogdan was worth a career best 1.2 VORP last year over 1,700 minutes, Donte was 1.3 in 300 fewer minutes. Bogdan is a poor man's Middleton. He's slow with long arms, similar shooter to Mathews. He can't beat anyone without a screen, and we don't set alot of ball screens. Good passer, plays with an edge, but still struggles defensively. He was awful the last time he played the Bucks.

I don't think he's the answer at all. I'd rather get a player who can beat someone off the dribble. Bogdan is a reserve on a good team.

We need more than one player though. Of course the dribble guy is a higher priority but still need to add more than just that.

Bogdon is a guy that fits and then you'd also have to be looking for the guy who can shoot off the dribble and hopefully lead PnR. That said, I do think he has a bit more bounce to him than you describe so he is more than catch/shoot, but of course its not like I've seen him a ton.

No individual player by himself is going to be the answer unless it’s a legit star, and assuming we can’t get that we just need to stack good players. And Bogdan’s very good player on a better coached, more talented team with weapons around him imo. I’ll take all the poor man’s Middletons out there. If we need more speed/dynamism, we can find it at a different position like Schroder or something.

MKE: Bogdanovic, Schroder
SAC: Bledsoe, IND '22 2nd
OKC: Joseph, MKE '24 1st (lottery protected)

Bucks build a Milwaukee based FIBA-feel squad to entice Giannis into putting pen to paper.
Kings replace the botched Joseph signing with an All-NBA defensive caliber guard. He and Fox could wreak havoc as they rehab Bled's market value.
Thunder get a 1st for Schroder, they can just waive Joseph's partially guaranteed contract after the season.

Schroder / Hill
Bogdanovic / DiVincenzo
Middleton / Matthews
Giannis / FA
BroLo / RoLo

I think this trade benefits all three teams.

I'm sure they'll let Thibs put his stamp on the team in year one. Year two is where they trade all his dudes and he gets fired after a 21-30 start, of course.

Anyone on the Nets available if they feel Durant and Irving will play the whole season?

How do we get CP3/Bogdan/Khris/Giannis/??? as our starting lineup on opening night in January?

Bogdan would be a nice addition but I feel like for what he will end up getting paid and what we will give up we can do better.

Getting him pretty much means CP3 wouldn’t happen, right?

I think so unless we trade Middleton.

Does swapping Middleton and Bledsoe for Bogdanovic and CP3 make us better? I think it does, but we would miss what Middleton brings.

The problem there is if CP3 is obtainable you could give up Bled+scraps to get him and just leave Bogdan off the table in that scenario. I’d much prefer CP3/Middleton

I still think trading Bled and our 1st to the Pistons for Rose and Kennard is a better and more realistic option than signing Bogdan
