The Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic is favored to win the coveted regular season award in 2021. He is a 4-1 favorite, according to SportsBetting.com. Antetokoumpo comes in second with 9-2 odds followed by Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors. Curry has 5-1 odds as he makes his long awaited return to the game.

Pretty good bet. As long as Donnie puts enough pieces in to make this a 50+ win/2nd round or better team, Luka should get the votes. Can’t wait to see the ceiling continue to rise for him.

I think it's a bad bet. You're either betting on Luka being the best player in the NBA and the Mavs being a top 4 seed, or Luka being a top 3 player and the Mavs being a number 1 seed.

Is it possible that the Mavs have a high enough seed? Maybe, but we have to assume that KP and Luka are perfectly healthy for the whole season. I would never bet Luka at 4:1. He won't even have the "story", as he already became an MVP candidate last year, so no one will be surprised. Plus, he's young and some will think that it's not his time. He would have to make it a clear cut thing.

3 things, one if Luka continues to develop his game and improve his defense, two health and third if Dallas finished at the top 1/2 in the West.
