Re: 2020 Presidential Election Thread: The Homestretch
We've joked about Trump fleeing the country, but that's for us to jest, not the POTUS
Golly, this guy projects EVERYTHING, every crime he has committed he accuses someone else of doing, EVERY action he contemplates taking he ruminates out loud because he lacks any filters whatsoever
So here we are, with a POTUS saying he might have to flee. RU F Kidding Me? Flee the country? This guy is a traitor and the greatest security risk ever known to the history of the USA. He literally could go to the highest bidder for safe haven if he is willing to spill state secrets and we know he has no scruples so now that he is saying it out loud you better believe he would do it if he could now that he is heading to prison.
I swear god if you support this man you have no self-respect

Re: 2020 Presidential Election Thread: The Homestretch
We have heard the Biden company has raised $386 to $248 million. What's he going to do with it?
Blast this john Kelley stuff all over TV and digital. Flash his fancy title and his damning soundbite. I heard from a Trump surrogate That Biden's helpers shop for him at the GNC at the mall. They get him Mr. Hyde pre-workout powder energy drink. It gets Joe a great pump at the gym and kind of feels like taking a bump.

Mary Trump said her uncle Donald Trump is in for a “rough ride” should his Democratic opponent Joe Biden win the presidential election.
On Tuesday, CNN host Don Lemon asked the president’s niece — a clinical psychologist who published a tell-all book about her uncle and family in July — how she thinks Trump might react if he loses his reelection bid, given his upbringing and “who he is.”
The president, who has been trailing Biden in the polls, told a rally audience in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday that Biden is the worst presidential candidate of all time. He said it would be “disgusting” if he lost to the Democrat.
If Trump does end up losing, “he’s setting himself up to look really bad,” his niece assessed. “He’s not going to take it well. Losing is not an acceptable thing in my family. My grandfather set his business up and his family up as a zero-sum game, and that meant only one person could win and everybody else needed to lose.”
“In order to win, Donald was trained to do everything it took, whether it’s lying, cheating or stealing.”
She also said that for the first time in his life, her uncle has almost nobody left to bail him out ― a pressure she said he’s very unfamiliar with.
Trump’s niece characterized the president’s recent behavior ― including a desperate plea at Tuesday’s rally for suburban women to “please like me” ― as being “uncharacteristically obviously weak” and something he would typically have criticized others for.

He’s right. I’m fine with Dems turning the screws should they get the Oval Office and the senate majority. Republicans have thrown bipartisan partnerships out the window to do whatever they want b/c they convinced themselves that President Trump can’t lose and by default they can’t either

Re: 2020 Presidential Election Thread: The Homestretch
Conservative hacks have been learning that being the opposition party can be just as well paying as the establishment party. Yet all it's doing is dragging the Dems further right making them even more the Republican light party and the Dems gladly go along with it because all they really care about is money and power...mostly money and power if it means more money. It's easy to see their priorities when they so easily capitulate to the GOP letting them install their theocracy while the Dems play a part for the camera.
Let's just hope the progressives who actually care about policy that helps people continue to pick up seats in congress and gather strength as a coalition to push into the conversation on the policies that reflects what the majority of America wants. Health care that doesn't kill them or bankrupt them, education that doesn't put them in debt them for decades, economic security that can withstand the market fluctuations and all of that combining in an improving general welfare of them and their families.
