Watched some of his highlights and yep, thanks for coming, that is our pick if we keep it. His 3pt shooting% sucks but his free throw shooting is amazing, and his highlights show he can get there with range. Great finishing and another tenacious dog on D from the sounds of it. Dragic will probably get one big single year contract and we'll see what happens after that, but cheap guards in Nunn, Herro and Maxey if everything panned out to go with Butler and Duncan at wings leaves us the cap space to go after the right guys to pair with Bam in the front court.

I think the high level finishing, and defensive ability is what separates him from other prosepcts. He needs a bit of mechanical fine tuning on his long range shooting, but other than that, he's got some very nice tools. Needs to up his bball IQ as well, but that will come with reps.

I think Malachi Flynn would be the most balanced choice for the Heat unless someone slips in next month's draft. Good playmaker, above average defender, elite free-throw shooter, good 3-point shooter.

Finally getting in on some draft research. I’ll be posting a few that have been sticking out. Would love to get a big who can stretch and play with Bam. Seems like plenty of combo guards available when we pick. Considering we have the 6’9 Okpala ready to compete for minutes next year they probably come most likely from the backup 3/4 spot. Good chance we also trade pick after we make it.

Calipari compares this kid to Jamal Murray. Looks to be deadly three point shooter. While the early hype belongs to Maxey. Quickley looks like he would make a fine addition to our squad. Lets keep going back to the Kentucky well. In Calipari we trust.

Oturu looks like a great option for us. Nigerian connection with Bam. Imagine a Nigerian nightmare lineup with Oturu, Bam, Giannis, and maybe even Dipo.

Outlook: Skill set is comparable to a poorman’s Lamarcus Aldridege … Figures to find a spot in the late first to early second round of the 2020 NBA draft … Projects as a solid NBA contributor with his ability to defend, rebound, and knock down face up shots as well as convert around the basket …

I'll take this all day. This is exactly what we need to be developing off our bench behind Bam.

Just an observation....he has a quirky shot. His release is close to eye level. Pro's usually shoot above the head. Has potential to have his shot blocked if scouted. Could be a non issue. Just a strange shot imo.

Shot does look strange but it goes in with great consistency 43% 3PT and 93% FT :o . Calipari loves him. Always gets my attention when Calipari outwardly pours his heart out boosting a player. I think it's something at this point the Heat really pay close attention to. They already brought him in once so let see how things evolve. It all comes down to the workout for the Heat. Bam and Herro showed why they deserved it. Quickley will have the chance to do the same.

Love this scouting piece. Think he would make a dream fit with Herro in the backcourt.

Here is the real kicker: Quickley is a more solid defensive guard and more athletic than the consensus realizes. The film and advanced numbers both support this declaration. He is not just a gadget, situational shooter but retains real projectable value as an on-ball and team defender in the NBA. His basketball IQ, defensive instincts, solid lateral quickness, and whopping 6-foot-10 wingspan enabled him to become one of the premier defensive wings in the SEC.

For NBA teams, identifying real shot-makers to complement superstars—without sacrificing and creating liabilities on the other side of the floor—is a tall order. When you do find one, they become valuable assets. In my opinion, that is precisely the archetype that Immanuel Quickley embodies.

Stroke kinda reminds me of Jeff Teague’s. Kinda low, but can’t argue with 40+% from 3 and 93%FT.

6’3” with a 6’10” wingspan, good defensively and a good long range shooter. Certainly ticks a few boxes and could be a solid choice, should we keep the pick.

Looks like he would be an ideal compliment to Herro.

The form obviously works for him considering his %. He shoots better % @ the arc than Herro in college i believe. Hopefully that shot translates to the pro's. I'm used to seeing 10-14yo's having a low release due to not having the strength yet. Just something to look out for.

2-way players don't come around too often. Is a workhorse to boot. Looking forward to that doco.

I've been focusing on strech bigs, but PG is probably our second biggest need going forward. Guy looks good.

Our Recent picks showed how crucial it is to nail the pick and get a kid that has the right mentality like Bam and Herro.

Jalen Smith, a 6'10 shot blocker that can shoot 3's.

I’m good with Jalen Smith. I scouted him a bunch his freshman year when he played along side Bruno Fernando. Not sure he makes it to 20.

At 20, Desmond Bane could be the best shooter available(43% from 3 over his 4-year career). Definitely a Heat pick.

Jalen Smith behind Ibaka ugh yes

Smith/Bam would be so good in 3 years. They compliment each other so well and having 2 bigs that could cover on the perimeter.

There are 1000000 guards we can develop to do what we need. That you can't teach right there.

Quickley is #1 on my board right now at 20.
