Look for Nagy to pass after the INT.

I like that Houston-Carson had the good sense to just go to the ground after he made the pick, too. Outstanding. 5-1!

Bears pass rush was great all day long. And the secondary did their part. Linebacking was not great- too many big plays over the middle of the field off of short passes.

the 3 turnovers the D forced was really the difference in the game. Without those, this was a loss.

Cardiac Kodiak's. Jeez... 5-1 feels good, but still lots to clean up. Cautiously optimistic. Unlike in prior years where I knew the talent wasn't there on O(Not to say this group is supremely talented), I still feel they have at least another gear. If we can clean that up, with the way the D is playing watch out.

Fixed that for you.

This was a blowout if the refs don't call that phantom PI on Johnson at the 1 and see the tipped ball on the pick 6.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle 5-1.

Would it be possible for this team to win at least one game easily this year? Just one? Is that too much to ask?

This game shouldn't have even been close. Defense played well and had to battle against some pretty terrible officiating. Offense was about as bad as I've ever seen it. 2.5 YPC against the 31st ranked run defense in the league is just pathetic.

Thank god they won this game, because I'm not sure they win more than 1 of their next 5 with the way their schedule looks over the next few weeks.

True. Plus they missed the PI on Allen Robinson near the goal line early in the game. Even the announcers remarked the DB got there early.

Bears are going to make it an ugly game against the Rams just like two years ago.

Saints suck, Titans are good, Vikings suck **** and FTP.

They should go 3-2 brining us to 8-3.

Then we have an easy schedule to close.

Was there video footage of that tipped ball? I was shouting at my tv for the stupid broadcast to show a better replay but I never saw one.

It did feel like the Bears were on the short end of the stick on several meaningful calls (the two biggest you mentioned) this game. 5-1 is 5-1, and outside of the Packers who I am expecting to to 0-2 against I think this team has a shot against everyone left on the schedule. They won't win all those other games probably. But 10-6 or 11-5 feels like a reasonable projection.

Twitter said Nichols tipped it. Fox was terrible today.

Also. forgot about the TERRIBLE call against Fuller. That was another takeaway they stole.

The Bears defense truly dominated the game today.

I am not satisfied with this win. It would have to be a historic collapse for us to miss the playoffs but we have no chance there. The packers will for sure put 40 on us and the seahawks would be heavy favorites. This is supposed to be a team that's contending for a superbowl.

Yes, we have a below average offensive unit and trash QBs, but when your specialty is offense and you on a regular basis look like you don't know what you're doing its time to move on. This record is fools gold and we can't let that influence us in keeping Nagy.

My top candidates are Jim Caldwell and Arthur Smith. Caldwell has the track record of being successful and he'll bring in a great coaching staff. Smith might only be second to the chiefs in running an offense.

Not that it mattered, but I didn't think that one was tipped.

Still the missed PI on Robinson
The BS defenseless player on a shoulder to shoulder hit penalty that the Panthers got
The BS PI penalty that got the Panthers their only TD

Those were all bad calls IMO that went the Panthers way and cost the Bears a minimum of 4 points (on the first one) and potentially 3 on the second one (shorter made FG attempt vs much longer dicier FG attempt), and up to 7 on the last one (maybe they would have scored maybe not. However, somewhere between 4 and 14 points were gifted to the Panthers by the refs.

I felt better about this win for Chicago than any other win this season, because:
1: The Bears were pretty sloppy, lots of stupid legit penalties
2: The Bears got hosed by the refs, (3 plays mentioned above)
3: They beat a pretty good team

The Bears could have won this game by much more, but when things went against them, they still won by 7. Great win for them. I'm beginning to be much more optimistic. The defense is really starting to come together, great pass rush today. Even the plays they got beat were basically great throws and great catches and great offense, and there weren't many of them.
