So IF Myers doesn't love Edwards, Lamelo or Wiseman...then trading down, getting Collins (40% from three at 6'9"!) plus Toppin, Deni or another player they like makes sense.

This would be amazing and probably too good to be true. I would be happy with Dedmon into the TPE.

The road to a 2021 championship goes through LA and the Lakers. We need to pick up length and rim protection to deal with AD, Lebron, Howard and McGee. The MLE is not going to fill that requirement and we will not know if the TPE will yield us that resource.

I am all in on Wiseman at 2 or a trade for Turner or Robinson. Collins isn't bad, but like wco81 just pointed out he is due for a big payday.

Chicago may be looking to trade up to #1 or #2, for their #4:

What trade package would even make sense?

chicago has literally nothing worthy to offer in return.
same as the knicks. mitchell robinson is still an ongoing prospect with many flaws in his game and he's definitely not an aswer to any dubs issues.

I was thinking that exact same trade proposal, but with 4th, Avdija? Okoro? Toppin? It’s unclear who we’d draft if Wiseman will be traded.

Maybe they make the trade once they know who is available at #4...I also added #2 + Loon for #4 + Lauri

If the warriors have to use the #2 overall , I’m hoping for Okoro or Ball..

I was on their board from time to time in the last couple of weeks, and they said they'd settle with Avdija at #4. But, this may change and they want Wiseman.

I'd want Satoransky for backup PG, if possible. At least have some insurance incase Curry is injured or needs more rest. Backup PG is hard to fill at this point.

When you read that Wiseman scouting report you quickly realize why the Warriors wouldn't be interested in him. Even if he pans out he would be a terrible fit for the type of offense we run. We need creativity, passing, playmaking ability. He's none of that.

Agreed. I like that he can give us the defensive potential playing the 5, but when the league will go small 80-85% of the time down the stretch, you know Wiseman's gonna be benched or get reduced minutes. Right now, I'll take a player who's made to play in this system or modern NBA, that'd be Avdija.

Markkanen is intriguing but I feel like he's a bit overrated. Has never shot over 36% from 3, which is admittedly good for a PF, but is it enough to space the floor or make a team pay for doubling Steph/Klay? Meanwhile he's only a mediocre passer and he's only averaged 56 games played in his 3 year NBA career, that's a red flag. Finally, while he is tall, he doesn't really have the strength to fight with the bigger frontline players in the league, which is what we keep saying we need right?

Would be MUCH more interested in John Collins, who is stronger and more efficient than Markkanen, and a serious deep threat, although he's had some injuries as well. If there's some way to get Collins, we could feel confident going smaller at #6, for example Haliburton, Okoro, Vassell, Avdija. Getting Collins and one of those guys would be a real coup but perhaps not realistic.

I would trade a second round pick for the next 3 weeks to be over so we can get on with the draft! ;)

Nice. This is probably what I should've wrote instead of SPP. He fits the Hawks, Grizzlies, and Cavs style. I dunno about the Hornets who is a young team, too.

What big would fit the Warriors? Obi Toppin? Okongwu?

Draymond said Wiseman would be a good fit. Hm...

No good trades pop up? Draft Ball...He’s going look good playing with our 3 HOFamers and Wiggles..Ball’s extremely unselfish and a great passer..he’ll fit right in....teams are going to want to trade for him..great option to have..

Or go for Okoro ..who is the lock of this draft to , at some point, be an impact player on a contender

Patience grasshopper, that pick could be a Draymond Green, a Monta Ellis or an Eric Pashcall.

Apparently, there are other Warriors the Hawks want + James Wiseman with the #2 pick.

"As Buckley noted, the potential deal would make sense for the Hawks if they are still in the asset accumulation phase of their rebuild. In exchange for Collins and Huerter, the Hawks would be acquiring two young and promising talents in Looney and Poole in return. The main prize of the deal for the Hawks is the Warriors’ 2020 first-round pick."

Note that it was written in early July, before the draft lottery. One factor that's changed is the Warriors didn't get the #1 pick, and if the Wolves are trying to trade down, it decreases our leverage. I also didn't see anything in that column about the Hawks (now #6) pick coming back to us, which would be disappointing.

That said, Collins would be a great add.

I like Collins offense a lot, but his defense is bad and we need defense. Dray can't guard 3 players at a time.
