Ball and Edwards have just as many question marks about them as Terry, and although I think Wiseman has the highest ceiling I don't think he'd hit it here playing behind/alongside KAT.
If you would consider Terry at pick 8 you are really coming around on him big time. if you'd take him at 1 you're the only person I've ever seen suggest that. He's a great shooter. He's too small to play the SG so he's got to make it as a PG.

DLo has the size of a SG so they could coexist in lineups. Where it wouldn't work against most opponents is playing alongside JMac (assuming we keep him, and I hope we do).KGdaBom wrote:TheDominator273 wrote:I'm really coming around on Tyrell Terry, if we can trade back to say 8 with the Knicks I'd feel comfortable taking him there. The draft taking so long has just enabled all of us to have the time to really delve into all the prospects, and while watching Terry he impresses me more than just about anyone else in the draft. He is quicker than people give him credit for, he is crafty finishing at the rim, and of course his 3 point stroke is money. He's not Steph, nor is he Trae, he's not the ball handler or passer those two are, but having another knockdown shooter who plays really smart would be awesome and help is win a lot of games.

If he's available at 17 I'm good with that. Teams just talk themselves into players far too often. He's too small to be a SG and Russell is the PG. Does it help to play them together yes. Culver and Okogie are both a bit small to play the SF. I want full size players. Big and skillful beats small and skillful most of the time.

Are there any deals for AUS?

I got it for like $1 a month for 6 months, but I'm not sure how...
It's alright, better than a lot of stuff out there, but less content (more quality though).

No. 1 — Minnesota Timberwolves: LaMelo Ball, PG, Illawarra Hawks (Australia)
I still believe the Wolves will try to trade this pick. I attempted to make deals with the Bulls and Hawks, but their GMs (Darnell and Chris) were too scared. And just for the hell of it, I called Wizards beat writer Fred Katz to ask if he thought Washington would make a move. But after some unanswered text messages, we couldn’t find a suitable deal given that neither of us expect Washington to put Bradley Beal on the market this soon.
So I’m staying with Ball, for now, because I think he will be the easiest to move on draft night or during the season. Teams need playmakers more than ever, and Ball may be the kind of player who can make those around him better with the shots he gets them, provided he can get a handle on his own inconsistencies.
I have reservations about his fit with D’Angelo Russell in the backcourt given both players’ preference to have the ball in their hands. But if Ryan Saunders could figure it out, he would have two elite passers to could get the offense humming. If the Wolves truly cannot find a trade partner, I think Anthony Edwards could very well be the pick. But I’m not giving up that ghost just yet. — Jon Krawczynski

I really like both Jones and Terry as back-up PG’s early in their careers while they develop their skills. If Terry is there at 17 or Jones at 33, I’d be very pleased with either selection.

I'd love to have Tre Jones on the roster ... he proved to be a solid PG on both ends of the floor. Made nice strides from year-1 to year-2 across the board in minutes, points, rebounds, steals, and assists against good competition. Has some nice leadership skills atop of the stats. Not flashy, but works.

I would take him at 17. We need a back up pg. He can run offense and defend.

I'd hold out for 33. At 17 I believe there will be better prospects.

No thanks to Jones at 17 that would be a reach and make the teams from 18-21 real happy with who else will be left on board.
At 33 I would rather have Paul Reed but wouldn’t be upset with Jones.
I would also like to try to trade Spellman, Nowell, Evans etc for another second round pick(or buy one) for Jones, Joe, Tillie, Riller, Nwora or even someone like Merrill. This is a deep draft.

he could easily make it to 33. I wouldn't mind having him, but better prospects will be available. One of Tyrell Terry, Kira Lewis, Hampton, Cole Anthony will make it to 17 if we want a PG and I would prefer them all. Sadiq Bey, Achiuwa, Williams, Smith, if we go forward would be preferable.

There is a good chance he makes it to #33. If you want him in the first try and trade up using #33 and Spellman...you don't use #17.

There are no PGs I would take at 17 unless someone really drops from current projections. We have way too much frontcourt need to worry about backcourt. Plenty of options will be there at 33 for a pg
