Let's do this big guy! Can't wait to watch Davis continue to get better in our uniform. Pray to God he stays as healthy as he has been basically all year.

Don’t forget Pau Gasol and Mikan

to a lesser extent Bynum he could of been great and was well on his way if it wasn’t for injuries and the whole no discipline issue lol.

This is a great development.

Speaking of Kareem, how sweet would it be for AD to develop a sky hook?
His face up game is terrific. His outside shot is solid.

Teams will start adapting though and he needs to develop some additional tricks in his offense. A sky hook like the big fella used to pour in would be perfect for his style and his physique.

This wasn't in doubt, the only question is the length of the contract. He can go 1+1 and match his free agency with LeBron, he can also go 2+1 and opt out to sign a mega deal with 10 years of service or in an ideal scenario, he can give the Lakers the stability needed to attract a third star in 2021 by signing a 5 year deal. I suspect he signs for 2+1.

I always thought he was made for a Lakers jersey, since the draft. Thrilled that it’s finally happening. No other franchise can match his greatness and cement high odds for his great NBA legacy like we can.

It’s a no brainer. Sign him for life, lol.

I think AD is going for that max deal, with no money to be left on the table. He already left 8 million on the table when he waived his trade kicker so they could build a team around him and LeBron (or get Kawhi).

This in my mind, Locks up Rondo. Rondo has been his dawg since the Pelican days. And AD will call the shots on this one, to bring him back.

Just contributing to this point....Pau #16 should be retired.

Regarding the topic.....AD is unbelievable. Work your way up in history young man, do the purple/gold proud.

AD is one of the most down to earth and grounded superstars the league has ever seen. He is exactly the type of guy that LA loves; works his ass off, plays team, is intelligent, doesn’t whine, delivers excellence. He’s gonna go down as one of the most beloved Lakers ever if he stays here for his career.

Having him as a leader will also establish a healthy locker room culture for years to come. Many aging vet players will want to retire here because of his vibe alone. For real. One or two might take a pay cut. Looking at you, LeBron.

AD belongs in a Lakers jersey. He’s here to stay. Welcome home, AD!

Another dynasty has begun ...

When will it be signed and done?

Kareem should take him under his wing. Yes, teach him the skyhook, please, but also about the history of the fight for equality.
