I’m taking the opportunity of having the first reply to bring up Aaron Gordon for James Johnson and 17 for the 1000th time.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

First trade: #1 pick, Culver for #4 pick, 2021 CHI FRP unprotected
Second trade: #4 pick, Evans, Spellman for #15, and Jon Isaac
Third trade: #17, JJ for #12, Barnes

Draft Kira Lewis Jr, Xavier Tillman, Ty-Shon Alexander. Resign Beasley, Martin, Juancho, JMac

KAT/Reid/Tillman
Barnes/Juancho/Vanderbilt
Layman/Okogie/Martin
Beasley/Nowell/Ty-Shon Alexander
DLo/JMac/Lewis Jr

Next season we will have a fully recovered Isaac, CHI FRP. This year we will still play a lot of young players, but Barnes is a kind of veteran who can stabilize our starting unit. He also fits well as combo-forward, his contract is around 20mil and it is an overpay, but after 2021 season it will be 18mil of expiring.

Hayes is not that small... 6'5", a near 6'8" wingspan, 192lbs. His skillset overlaps with DLo but giving their sizes they can play some minutes at SG.

I think the train left the station once Isaac went down with his injury.

A couple things wrong with this scenario.

Holiday is 30 year old. He doesn't fit the timeline of either Russell or Towns. And that doesn't even take into account Holiday might end up being a one-year rental as he has a player option for the 2021-22 season.

The Brooklyn pick, Minnesota's second round pick, Culver and filler is an overpay for Gordon. Those in favor of trading for him are willing to give up the Brooklyn pick and Johnson, nothing more unless the deal is expanded. But that's even if he's on the table, which I do not believe is the case due to Isaac being unable to play this upcoming season.

Timberwolves want a win now player for the #1 pick...IMO Holiday is the best 2 way guard we can get. I think he can play at a high lvl for another 3-4 yrs. He's the perfect fit nxt to Dlo.
As for Gordon, I think we value these picks too much. #17 and #33 won't net you a top talent in this draft. And Culver hasn't done much to make me think he's a special player.

Maybe we could just trade for Myles Turner alone and not adding Oladipo. I think a package of #17, JJ, and #33 will do.

If we're trading with the Bulls..i'll take #4, Lauri Markkanen, Otto Porter Jr. and Dunn for our #1, JJ, Culver and fillers. We land 3 starters that compliments Dlo and Towns. Otto Porter Jr's contract is bad. But assuming he picks up his PO for the trade to happen, he'll be UFA in the summer of 21. So he has a year to earn another contract with us. And by age 28, 29 he won't command such a big salary anymore. If we don't resign him we'll have 28 mil off the books to sign another big FA. We could always resign Beasley and Huancho to round out the roster.

Dlo
Dunn
Porter Jr.
Markkanen
Towns

With #4(maybe Onyeka?)Beasley, Huancho off the bench.

The trades are terrible. Holiday doesn’t fit our timeline and can walk for nothing next year. I’m so tired of reading Gordon offers that I wouldn’t even trade #17 alone for him when guys like like Bey, Reed, Tillman, Maxey, Terry and others could be available.

As for your MLE targets, I couldn’t agree more with you, Ice...both would be great fits, especially Harris. Nice job identifying those guys!

This thread should be renamed the "insert pick # and filler for Aaron Gordon thread"

Question for you guys...where does everyone view Culver’s trade value? Like what pick in this draft or individual player would you trade for him?
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Or ... "every unproven hyped forward in the 2020 Draft has far higher potential than Gordon" :dontknow:

With serious question marks on this year's draft depth, this bumps his trade value up. As someone who was highly critical of his Rookie season, I acknowledge that he improved as the season went along.

I view his value as still an asset.

I guess a better question might be, if Culver were in this draft would he be the raging consensus #1 pick?

Nah. I like my one better. There is an unhealthy obsession with this guy on this thread.
