Same site ≠ same source.

Pretty basic.

One source is their beat writer reported by the site, the other is sources around the league, reported by the site.

I like Advija as a prospect, but you're doing a really good job to turn me off on him.

Trying way too hard here bro

Seriously.

MI, you don't need the Warriors to pick him to be right that he's worth the pick. Rumors about one team maybe liking him are completely irrelevant.
Time will tell.

DY Nasty claimed the Warriors will hype all the top picks but their own beat writer says they're not high on Wiseman. Then you plugged anonymous sources as a counter. Who's trying hard?

This is you trying too hard.

The only one who cares about GSW rumors is you because you are trying to validate your opinion. Just be confident and roll with your opinion, makes it look like you are trying too hard when you keeping harping on rumors like this.

But you guys dogpile with regularity and it's been going on with Avdija. I think the word that Warriors are blown away by him should give this crowd pause.

I really REALLY don't want the Warriors to pick him, especially if Edwards goes #1. Then Ball is BPA at 3 and he shoots like MKG. Praying for Ball to go one so Edwards is the one who falls if the Warriors take Avdija.

But the bottom line facing the Warriors is the top tier might not be attractive enough for teams holding all stars. So the Warriors have to gameplan against low-ball offers and face the possibility they make this pick for keeps. Really want someone to offer the house for Ball so he goes off the board.

i think dogpiling the idea that he's one of the fastest coast to coast wings ever, calling out his shooting, and some of the other hyperbole is kinda warranted ijs

haliburton is my favorite pg in this draft but you don't see me saying his flaws aren't real

Who cares if we do? Doesn't impact you in any way. Maybe we're wrong. Who tf cares.

And, again, I (and I think most) don't care what any team thinks. I wouldn't care if they loved Ball, I'd still want to avoid him. Makes no sense to change your opinion based on random internet rumors of who a team may or may not like.

Seeking out that validation in random rumors and bragging about it here is the very definition of trying too hard.

Why would the Warriors leak they like a player if they genuinely want to draft him? What purpose does that serve for them?

the idea that anyone thinks they even want their pick is proof they're doing a great job imo

I could be wrong here but this is what I think Warriors are doing...

1. I think they actually are higher on Deni- he fits their style and he would be a good fit next to core but I don’t think he is number 1 on their board. It would be bad business to announce your number 1 player to the public when you have the second pick. I think he is number 2 on their board and a good consolation and want fans to be excited if they do land him.

2. When they say they are low on Wiseman I believe it. They have never valued the center position as an organization. Wiseman would prevent Draymond from playing massive mins at center which is what has made them so tough to defend. They value shooting and passing over all else.

3. Here is where I bring everything together in terms of their number 1 player, being high on players who pass and shoot, and a little bit of smoke screening to try and land their number 1 guy with second pick. LAMELO BALL. Warriors are looking for playmaking- they lost Iggy. Draymond is getting older. Klay can’t create for others. Wiggins can’t create for others. And Steph can’t do it himself.

This would get steph and Klay off the ball which will help their efficiency and replace some of what KD did for them as an extra ball handler. Also they are looking for a guy to take over the reigns some a few years down the line and I think having an established coach, culture and winning organization is the type of team that can negate a lot of worries with Lamelo.

I am not sold on Lamelo for Hornets as of yet because we lack the plug and play situation they have but for the Warriors I think it’s a no-brainer. In

JMAC3, I agree with much of your post. If Ball isn't GS's #1, he SHOULD be due to fit and developmental potential. He's somebody's #1, whether it be Minny or a trade-up. Which leaves the rest of he slate.

I'm dubious about the smoke screen. I think GS is serious about Avdija at #2. Us nobodies have varied unprofessional opinions on the guy, look at stats and make a judgement, but the fit factor just can't be ignored. BBIQ is THAT valuable. Ball and Avdija are, in my layman's view, head and shoulders above the first tier of the slate in regard to BBIQ. It could be GS is trying to create a market for the #2 pick (which would be smart), but I think Avdija at #2 is legit if Ball isn't there.
