I think Ibaka and Gallo gotta be 1 and 2 on the MLE dream scenario rankings.

My perfect scenario for next year now is:
MLE - Gallo
TPE - Oubre (send the minny 2021 2nd, GSW 2020 2nd, GSW 2023 2nd)
Trade - Kennard (use looney and the 2021 GSW 1st)
#2 - Wiseman
2nd rounder - Marshall

Start: Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Dray, Wiseman
Rotation: Gallo, Kennard, Oubre, Paschall, Chriss
Deep Bench: Poole, Lee, Smiley, Bowman, Marshall

Gallo will be offered the full MLE by somebody. I have a hard time seeing him come here.
3 seconds is way too much for Oubre. The leaguewide sentiment is that the Suns don't want to pay to keep him next year. If they want to spend big on Grant or FVV, they may need to dump Oubre badly enough to pay to do so, like they did with Warren.
I wouldn't be excited to pay Kennard 8-10M a year as a backup. I'd rather take my chances with Looney because we know what he could bring to the table at a fixed cost if healthy, and if he's not we can move on from him 2 years from now.

If he is our starting C, we are in trouble. Fit next to Draymond is questionable because of his non-offensive game. Like the lakers have no reason to guard him and it will be playing 3v5 in the playoffs

That brings up a good point. One reason the Rockets were a tough team is because they wouldn’t bother guarding Jordan Bell or Looney and they would rest Harden on them and have him step up to help on drives or trap the ball.
Definitely not a starter but good defensively

Though rumors, Warriors would be down for a trade down to select Saddiq Bey. If we acquire him, would that mean the end for Eric Paschall?

Right now, the only advantages Paschall has over Bey is his ability to attack smaller and bigger players off the dribble and a lil' more than half a season under the belt. While, for Bey, he looks to be possess an all-around skillset (e.g., passing, shooting over 40% from 3 with high volume, and defend pretty well).

Bey is a wing, Paschall is a big. They play different ways and can play together.

Then end?

"Sorry Eric, we only have room for one forward on our bench. Sure, Saddiq is more of a 3 than a 4 but still, we only have room for one."

I guess that's premature to say, as we'll have to wait and see what else Mr. Paschall can do in his 2nd season.

If you guys read the available scouting reports, Bey will most likely play more 4 as he lacks elite lateral quickness and athleticism to stay in front of quicker and athletic 3s. He's your modern day 4.

Judging by his recent NBA track record, I see no basis for this other than the fact that he's from Palo Alto.

I doubt it. Bey has ideal length and lateral quickness to guard wings and guards on the perimeter. He's squarely an NBA SF with the ability to credibly guard 1-4.

Go watch some scouting videos of Bey. He capably defends smaller lead guards and stays in front of them. He’s not explosive with the ball in his hands, but he can guard 1-4. He won’t get pigeonholed as a 4.

Maybe he would be a buyout candidate, though with his cap number, some teams might be willing to trade assets to have a big expiring contract.

Good enough shooter, now 31, but has good length for a wing player to be a key defender possibly.

Huge fan of Batum coming to the Warriors. I doubt it would happen but I've always thought he would be an ideal back up at this point in his career.

Not a fan of a player that has been shipped off from a number of teams. He appears like the perfect modern day center but he's getting dumped by teams that aren't that great...:( And these same teams have gotten better AFTER his departure.

He may be a modern day 4, but he can play the 3 and Paschall is a bit of an old school 4 like Bey would be an old school 3. Bey can defend smaller better than bigger. The point is there is little reason they can't play together.

Noel's drive is supect, he's had some significant injury issues, and he's resisted putting on muscle mass. I think his ACL kind of broke his confidence down.

Still, he's done enough to be worth a shot at a vet min contract. He was much better than average with OKC when healthy and given a chance. And he's still young.

I think Paschall and Bey would be a real nice balance of skills at the backup forwards.

He’s an exceptional defensive player, but that’s about it. He’s a guy you look at, at the very end of free agency

Batum sucks. He hasn’t been any good for years. He was supposed to really help them, but he just stinks.
