What do people think of Zeke Nnaji ?
young athletic big who was Big 10 player of the year.

Petrusev could be another option at #30, I don't see a lot of candidates for draft&stash worthy of a first round pick. Bolmaro at #47, ok, but not before.
At quick glance, I feel Petrusev is slept on. I don't know if he is worth a first round pick, but I don't see any glaring weaknesses that will prevent him from being a solid backup center, at worst.
That said, I don't want us to draft anyone who will proactively agree to be stashed. If they think they're worth an NBA contract and are confident they can show it, why would a player agree to be stashed? Otherwise, why would they have declared for the draft? There are situations where a draft and stash can make sense, but we've been there, and done that, and IMO it is generally better to lose an asset than to draft losers.

PAC 12 freshman of the year. Raw offensively (i.e. 1-3 A/TO ratio), raw defensively, maybe comparable to Jordan Hill who played at the same school and had similar strengths and weaknesses. In Hill's case, his effort level had been questioned, Nnaji prob has better upside.

I had a long post about him before, he is a long, good shooting big with nice lateral movment but limited hops. He does not block shots but will e a better pick and roll defender. A good Comp is a better rebounding Kelly Olynik, he played nothinig like Jordan HIll I a UofA alum (I watch almost all o UofA and Kansas where I grew ups games). He can spread the floor and eventually will do eveything we want a big to do except to be a rim defender which he will never be. He is a nice compliment to Time, he does all the things R-williams does not.
I personally like Oturo as a 26-30 big a little bit moore but at that spot he is excellent value given his age. He is a decent rebounder and can score down low and on jumpers/pick and pops. When you are talking late 1st round picks he could be very good value. If Precious could shoot and didnt have the hops is another decent comparison.

This draft reminds me of the 2013 draft. Oturu seems to be one of the better bets to turn out as the metaphorical equivalent to Rudy Gobert (despite the difference in length).

Here is a really good article comparing the 2 of them

Jack nodding gif THIS is the convo I’m here for and have been for months. Both these guys seem like good value if we don’t go big earlier in the draft (or even if we do:). Oturu in particular seems like he would’ve been a lottery pick until everyone decided (erroneously imo) that the NBA was done with bigs six months ago.

Tyler Bey if he stays healthy will have a better NBA career than Obi Toppin.

If we move up I want Hayes, I think he will be one of the best players out of this draft.
I know we probably won`t trade Kemba but still...something like Kemba for 7 pick+Rose+Snell
At 14 Nesmith
At 26 Reed

I have been pushing for us to select Oturu with either the 26th or 30 pick for some time. I still think this is a wing league and we need to get some Hayward insurance by grabbing Saddiq Bey with the 14th, but with all the talk on him I'm afraid he will be gone by then. But man, would it be a steal of a draft to get Saddiq Bey with the 14th, Oturu with the 26th, and what ever point guard is left with the 30th.

You might be right, but the thing is the kid can't get regular minutes in ACB or Euroleague. Yes, Barcelona has a stacked roster, but he isn't turning heads around with the spare minutes he's getting. He is good at penetrating against inferior competition, but his playmaking outside drive & kick out is meh, and his shooting is suspect.
Of course, if the Celtics draft him, I'll be rooting for the kid to become the next Ginobili, and hoping I'm dead wrong. But I'd rather take Poku/Petrusev at #30, as the three of them are at least 2 years away from earning NBA minutes.
At #47, though, he's worth the pick, IMO.

More Oturo, this article says his wingspan measured 7-4 at the virtual combine.
https://www.startribune.com/ex-gophers-star-daniel-oturu-stands-out-during-virtual-nba-draft-combine/572842752/?refresh=true
"
Former Gophers and Cretin-Derham Hall standout Daniel Oturu blew teams away with his NBA combine shooting drill numbers this week.
Oturu, who is 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds, shot 67.5 percent from three-point range (104 for 154) and 87 percent from the free throw line (87 for 100) at the P3 Sports Science facility in Santa Barbara, Calif."
P3 Sports Science runs combine drills for the NBA Draft, which is scheduled to be held virtually Nov. 18.
In other testing results, Oturu’s box lane agility drill (11.37 seconds), 3/4 court sprint (3.28 seconds), standing vertical jump (29.5 inches) and max vertical (35.5 inches) topped averages at his position from the 2019 NBA Draft combine in Chicago.
Overall, his 2020 pre-draft assessment was pretty impressive for an athlete at his size and length, which included measurements of a 7-4 wingspan, 9-2 standing reach and 9.25-inch hand width."

I like the idea of trading up, but Hampton has huge bust potential and is a while away. Precious could be really good and at least should be able to be a decent defender in a worst case scenario but his offensive game needs work. I don't want us to take Hampton I think he is a bust. I am more ok with Precious but I go back and forth on him becuase he is unlikley to ever get a 3 point shot given his FT%, however he is a really good athlete which at his size has value.
