this is what I think the warriors board is right now

1. Edwards
2. Wiseman
3. Vassell
4. Hali
5. Bey

I've noticed all the guys they're "rumored to love" are all the non-shooters, which means they're probably all about the shooters (as they should be)

I agree on the top two. Obviously they've done due diligence on other guys in the event of a trade offer that can't be passed up but I think most of the misdirection is more to interfere with Minnesota's trade possibilities by making teams think Wiseman or Edwards may be available after the Warriors pick.

Right? What's the point. If I see "Wiseman is a god" from the Warriors then I KNOW they are not taking him...and they just want to pump up his value.

If they leaked that they liked one of the top 3 prospects the most then a team picking below them would know to trade up with Minnesota to grab said player. The warriors have been doing a great job of being linked to every player

If Boston's picks could get Poku, Maxey, and Bane... I would much rather have that than anything available at the #2 spot. That being said I have a feeling all 3 of them get drafted earlier than currently being mocked. Hampton is another player I think is going way under the radar.

did Okoro fall off the face of the planet?

I’m not giving up hope that they’ll end up picking the best basketball player in this draft

Edwards isn't a shooter tho,
So I think (hope) it'll be between wiseman and cassell
The warriors do love smokescreens tho

I'm speaking more to the latter 3 being the shooters. They're basically the trade down options. With the top 2 being the ones with the most talent and upside that we'd take at #2.

Edwards is the most talented player by far..If the W’s can get him to actually be a good/great basketball player, that’d rank higher than pretend G parting the Red Sea.

I have more confidence in Edwards being an elite NBA 3 point shooter than a lot of players that shot closer to 40% from 3 in college.

Lets take Vassell as an example. He's been over 40% both years, but he's almost always taking set shots with time, and his form doesn't look like it will easily expand to the nba 3 point line.

I'm not saying Vassell won't be a respectable 3 point shooter in the NBA eventually, I just think Edwards is a better shooter, even if his stats don't show it.

If the Warriors staff could get Edwards to play the way he's capable of, he's the no brainer pick. But he's a bit like JR Smith in that he has every imaginable tool and yet can't seem to do the right thing on the court the majority of the time.

I look at what the Celtics did with Jaylen Brown as the best argument possible for picking Edwards. A player like Edwards with some bad habits, immense physical gifts, and need of IQ refinement is much more likely to bust in an organization where he'll have his minutes handed to him. Brown didn't have those same knocks -- BBIQ and effort level -- but he was not known to be an especially skilled player coming out of college. His appeal was almost entirely physical and character based.

In the Warriors' system Edwards would have to earn Kerr's trust defensively and by playing hard on offense when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. The poor shooting percentages seem to be buoyed in part by the difficulty level of the shots he took as a lead ballhandler at Georgia. But in the Warriors' system Edwards would be surrounded by shooters and have lots of chances to get to the hoop and we have enough other guys like Steph, Dray, and to some extent, Wiggins, who will have the ball in their hands, that Edwards wouldn't have to take on so many possessions as the lead ball handler.

Deni would have to be in there.

It's starting to scare me that we haven't heard much from the Warriors about Ball. Very troubling.

Depends how you pronounce his name. Thought syllables were decided by sound, not spelling.

Haha, all good.

Ex-Ay-Vi-Er is the way they pronounce it a few times in the last video I just linked. So unless he is Spanish, they are probably right.
