Things could change here but I wonder how the Dodgers view failing to win the trophy again this year?

I'm going to be ticked if Houston wins that series.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Loved the Rays winning. Now the Braves need to take out LA tonight.

Re: ATL: Playoffs
My hatred of teams over the years has shifted much more to local rivalries (Vikings, Bears, Cubs, Cards) and less to juggernauts (Yankees, Dodgers, Patriots, etc.) so I think I'm already more on the side of being less mad about these teams winning. Of course they are next in the hierarchy of who I'm cheering against. I wanted a Marlins/Padres/Rays/A's final 4...I still prefer that.
Long story short, I'm not sure I'll absolutely hate it if the Dodgers finally get a WS. They're a huge market but are very smart at how they go about this and I do think they "deserve" one because I think their choking nature is more bad luck than actually being chokers.
So I'm cheering for the Rays but it won't kill me if the Dodgers get one title...then I will immediately hate them after it.

Brett Phillips, are you serious? Highlight of his career. Insane ending.

That game was bananas. So much fun. And the finish was just wild.

I ask this with the caveat that I think Counsell is one of the best managers in the game, but do you guys think he also would have pulled Snell from the game tonight when Cash did?

If he had, he would have given the ball to someone who hasn't been scored upon in their last six appearances.

Re: ATL: Playoffs
I think Dave Roberts did the same thing with Rich Hill in the NLCS or World Series a few years ago.
I think some of these teams with the right analytics intentions learn the very hard way in the playoffs. I think Roberts is willing to let a guy dealing (if he's an ace like Snell, I think I'd still pull Jhoulys Chacin in that situation) keep going now.

The biggest issue wasn't even pulling Snell. It was who he pulled him for.

That is somewhat relevant in the Counsell comparison. I think most people warmed up to the bullpen ball idea as the playoffs rolled on, but there were times where he went to Jeffress who was very shaky instead of letting Knebel, Hader, Woodruff, or Burnes finish an inning or whatever. I'm already forgetting all of the details but that was the sin there.
