FVV for Wood (S&T)

Post#1 » by pr0gr4m » Wed Oct 28, 2020 4:30 pm

Toronto needs a center and the Pistons want FVV.

I could see a starting front court of Wood, Siakam, and OG doing well. The Raptors would need a heavier center to back up Wood for specific match ups but it could be very effective.

Wood
Siakam
OG/Watson
Powell/Thomas
Lowry/Davis

Wood also played most of his minutes at C last season. The Raptors and Pistons would have to agree on giving them similar deals. 22M could be fair?

Or Detroit just signs both of them for free. FVV is not going to return any real value to a team with cap space.

The Pistons could likely just sign both guys. No need to give Wood to Toronto unless the Raptors trade them something they can't just get on their own.

I think Detroit can just sign Van Vleet outright. I like the fit with Toronto though. Not sure about giving Wood 20 million either.

Yeah if I'm Detroit I'm probably why not both. Of course if the Raptors want Wood they can release the cap holds of the FA bigs and FVV and have room to make a pretty decent offer, no?
