Coaching staff finally caught on and had him shoot half his 3pt attempts from the corner during the playoffs. He was 38.5% from the corner in the post season. 47.5% or 48/101 is his combined total.

That's a decent sample size. A coach like Pop would look at that on focus on it (Bowen) and same with Phil (Fox)

And as much as his defense has improved, his offense used to be much better and more reliable and more confident.

I’m not sure he and Bron will ever fully gel after the LBJ attempt to trade them all.

I would guess we package him in a trade unless he’s smart and takes a 1+1(PO) on the cheap, so he can grow his stock a bit more to earn a big-ass long term contract in a year or two.

I bet you that what ever team gets King kuz... He will start tearing it up and average 20pts a game unless he becomes that 3rd string type of guy again lol

But if he is 1st or 2nd option on scoring he'll sky rocket - Maybe not straight away, but eventually

You heard it here first.

Sell him, cos we ain't paying him what he thinks he deserves next year. He's 25 going 26, so he's not young and growing into anything anymore.

He's never gonna be the 3rd scorer on this team, while he can realistically be a 16-20 ppg guy on another team that doesn't have AD+Lebron, under a different system and make the kinda money he wants.

For the series, Kuz: When he contested as primary defender, Heat shot 24%, 2-7 by Jimmy Butler.

You can't overrate a fact. He either forced bad shots or fouled the hell out you with the I got 6 motto

He literally was 10ppg 43%fg, 31% three, 78% free throw, and 3 rebs in 23 mins with above average defense. ESSENTIALLY RICK FOX ROLE AND NUMBERS FOR THE PLAYOFFS ... And got paid less than Caruso, Kieff, Dwight, and Rondo to boot

Seven shots. Huge sample size.

Butler took 7 shots versus him all series, AND BTW 2/7 IS ROUGHLY 28%. For the series, Kuzma as a primary defender vs Miami forced them to shoot 24% over 6 games. He contested well. He contested Butler well. He fouled more than you like but the fact remains he was elite defensively vs the heat.

He was elite defensively versus the Blazers as well as he and Caruso didn't just top the Lakers, they topped all of hte players in the first round for their defensive metrics including Bron and AD.

So you have no point, no actual tangible point or argument to knock his defense at all other than personal bias because facts say he was damn good that end

His fouls were as bad as Dwight's dude.. How can you try to throw them under the rug?

There isn't a shot fake he won't bite at, over and over and over. He was energetic, but extremely erratic and inconsistent.

AD was elite. Lebron was elite. Caruso was elite.

Dwight, Danny Green, KCP were above average.

Kuz was below average at best. Unplayable for most of the finals series.

^you got to admit kuz's help defense was impactful all playoffs

Edit. Oops just read your response and replied. Didn't read the others posts above. Yeah. I agree w them. Kuzma lent himself to defense where he contributed more than anything else. That's what is good about Frank's coaching. Place people where they are better in and run w it as long as it works.

Kuzma needs to get into the gym and practice his handles and more lateral agility drills

If I was getting paid millions in a professional job , I'd be already in the gym working out.
I'd bet I would match kobe in gym attendance in a few occasions. Get him so mad he would start showing up 230am at the gym.

No sh%#. I'd be in the gym working on my game immediately. Quick turnaround as well with the season. Come out the blocks cookin and just shooting lights out come December start time. Catch everyone by surprise, and be depended upon.
Don't come back out passing the ball back to Rondo, expecting him to be the shooter on the team. Thats your job KUZ. Shoot lights out and dribble behind your back like a natural.
