20 would be perfect for him.

You shouldn't be expecting a star at that stage of the draft.

Would rather get Bam some help down low.

There are so many power forwards in free agency. You don’t need to find one in the draft. Plus Miami is probably a hot spot for free agents right now. This pick is more likely for your future and not your present. Dragic is getting old and Nunn isn’t probably the long-term answer. I think it makes sense. Tre is a playmaker.

Tre's form looks really good here. He did improve his 3-point shooting down the stretch.

He would be a great pick at 20. Miami needs to be forward thinking towards 2021. Should that plan work out and Giannis come, Jones is an ideal fit. He can play off ball and spotup open 3's when Giannis handles, he has enough PG skills to be a 3rd playmaker after Jimmy and Giannis, he brings great defense and a mature attitude. Just seems like a tremendous fit.

Kira Lewis 6’1.5 without shoes and 6’3 with shoes with 6’5 wingspan. It makes sense, but I really thought he’d be more around 6’4.

he could be VanVleet 2.0. I'd be pretty happy if my team took him in the 2nd round to be a backup with a chance to be a starter provided the surrounding cast was top notch. Tre will likely never be more than the worst starter on your team but if you have a loaded team, his defense and leadership would be huge.

those measurements really hurt him imo. He often gets compared to Fox but Fox is taller, longer, an elite finisher, and an elite athlete. And even then, his size still limits him. I think this solidifies Lewis as a back half of the first prospect for me.

Agreed. Its why I love Miami as a landing spot.

Isn't 6.3 in shoes basically average PG? Donovan Mitchell size?

Fox only measured about a tenth of a percent taller. Theyre pretty much the same size except Lewis is 10 pounds heavier.

I think everyone thought at the very least a half an inch taller, more realisitcally like an inch to an inch and a half taller. He came in on the shorter side but I wouldn't let it sway my evaluation of him too much. If you liked him before you should still like him.

Would love Jones at 21. I feel like Brand must have semi promised Isaiah Joe or something and that's why he recommitted. And the smoke around Tyrell Terry makes me think they'd select him if he were on the board at 21 also... Maybe they'd trade up to secure Joe with our 2nd's.

Isaiah Joe is a weird pick. If a team is sold on his defense and his shooting with less touches he should go pretty high. He’s pretty athletic and quick for a guy that’s a shooter. If he can turn into a guy who can finish with contact he would be on another level, but I don’t think he has that body type.

I also just wrote an entire paragraph for Terry, but I’m realizing I’m probably way too low on him. He can spread the floor so much with his deep range and passing ability. The question is how strong his handle will be and if he can hit high floaters consistently. He’s not going to be a guy that will beat his defender off of his quickness, but if he can learn to be crafty and put guys on his back he can be really good. Like Chris Paul isn’t a guy that attacks the basket and beats guys with his speed. He uses his craftiness and quick-twitch ability. Terry doesn’t have that quick twitch ability, but he has range. If his shot is going down he’ll be able to fake guys out pretty easily and get open looks for himself and his teammates. If Terry becomes a consistent shooter he can become really good offensively. But again, needs to develop his handle, which will likely take time and needs to develop his floater even more.

My opinion on Terry has been fluctuating. I usually like him more when I think we can't draft him, but now I'm starting to get higher on the other guards like Jones and Anthony and lower on him. He does bring a sharpshooting ability that we don't have and he can run the point but the lack of quick twitch like you said is what separates him from guys like Steph and Trae Young. He reminds me of a Seth clone, so still a valuable role player. Joe too is extremely slender but he uses his wingspan and length really well to disrupt passing lanes and get steals. Also has a really pretty form and has been good from the ft line over his college career so he's a natural shooter and athletic. I think they're both semi projects that can contribute right away but in Joe's case it's going to be a few years before he can really impact winning.

If he was only a shooter I’d say sure, but he can make those deep threes consistently and he has a great pace about his game. He’s one of the better passers in this draft IMO, even though there are a lot of great passers in this draft. Seth doesn’t see the floor nearly as well.

The thing about this draft I just realized is that there are a lot of good passers and the NBA doesn’t have a lot of good passers.

Definitely one of the more interesting drafts to be tracking in a while, I feel like it's going to break down once the consensus ~10 are off the board
