Getting a good starting SG under $125 is rare in this game. Ideally I didn’t wanna spend $100 on DB, but considering the deals I got on Dinwiddie ($70/4), and Sabonis (who I was willing to pay $200 for, but won for $175) it kinda balanced itself out.

Dude plays with that fire on both ends that we love and gets high praise from vets, coaches and teammates alike for his play, and leadership. The best part is he wants to, and will get better. I like his fit next to Wall.

I traded him as part of the Luka package. It's interesting how the value of players changes over time. I really liked him then.

Just curious. In recent history has there been a major sim bump? Like maybe a 1.5 star to 2 star to like a 3.5+ star for example. I’d have to imagine there a few guys like that. I’m sure Ingram will be nasty this year

Ingram was a 3-star last year. I think he goes to 3.5 or maybe even 4 star.

The SIM is on a year lag usually. sometimes even longer. Like Luka was good last year in the SIM but not like top 5 player good like he was IRL.

Can you think of anyone who was pretty average like 1.5-2 star that made the jump to like 3.5+ star?

Yeah a lot depends on Edwards, but there are some great up and coming young teams yours included, KOC and 3tohead had that on lock for awhile but things change quickly.

But considering what others similar players have gotten in this market, it’s a massive overpay

My perspective is I replaced my starting SG from the championship team Gary Harris ($160) for Dillon ($100), I’m good with that. I know it sucks for you, and I’m sorry it had to happen, but after missing out on Booker who went for $518 (would’ve cost me $600), Brooks at $100 is a deal I’ll live with.

Missed out on a couple of steals but glad to have Josh Hart locked up for cheap. Much needed 3 and D wing off the bench who fits with my young core.
