absolutely he averaged 16/14/3 on 62% from the field. He is going to be at least another 3.5 star player.

The SIM doesn't factor in switchability or spacing type statistics because those can't be measured...so that is why productive bigs in the traditional categories kill it.

Hence the Wiseman pick.

Hence the Kanter pick up  3.0 star, $1/4

who told you that? Whiteside is a SIM beast. He fits the narrative the SIM loves for bigs. Does he shoot a high FG% (yup), does he rebound at a good rate (yup), does he block shots (yup). The SIM doesn't factor him being a complete moron

$232/2 - 12ppg, 8rpg, 1blk in sim. I don’t think he’s a sim beast. He was definitely a 2k beast though. I like the deal for Minny.

His per game stats were held down quite a bit because he wasn't given starter minutes. He was 3.5 stars and his real life counting stats went up so he should be 3.5 minimum, probably 4. Definite upgrade over Tristan Thompson and Saric wouldn't get minutes with my big rotation being Whiteside/Gordon/Bryant all getting about 30+ mpg.

I like the deal for both sides. Strick needed some cap flexibility both this year and next and Saric should get some burn for him and Thompson will replace Whiteside's boards but not his rim protection. He also has some potential for the pick swap.

Again, I like it for both sides. Of course I'm bias, but those are the kind of deals I like to make where I believe both sides win.

basically. I have Wiseman and OO very closely rated as prospects IRL because I like Okungwu switchability and guarding in space more which is so valuable in the NBA. But he will not be the scorer or rebounder that Wiseman is at the next level so by default

The minutes played part made sense. I overlooked that. If you play him 30+ as others mentioned, then he could have a great impact. Reason I love the deal for Minny is the contract. Things can get tricky there, but I respect you wanting to compete and not tanking it out.

That's a fact and the way to get many deals done, no-one has walked away from a deal with me not feeling like a winner.

I gave up some flexibility (47 this year and 167 next) but I still have 100 this year and still have a couple of expirings and a chunk of money coming back next that went to buyouts this year so I'll have a nice chunk then.

In the end, spending a little extra now and being competitive for a year or two will probably save me money in the long run by helping to up my pitiful free agent rating. Being at the very bottom of the free agent rating totem pole, I can tell you my cap space is worth about 50 cents on the dollar. I saw how much I had to bid vs what the players went for and it wasn't pretty.

In taking what cap space is valued at with my free agent rating, that Whiteside contract looks a lot smaller.

Facts. I can tell you about the low tier stuff. I’m happy I got some good deals despite the ranking. It’s a great way to think about it for sure.

My two Sunday noon bids were winners. I made one more bid Tues and by that point the pool was thin enough that people were matching.

Yup, Bjelica was exactly the guy I was targeting for a similar price when I was low on funds that was a great addition. As far as I'm concerned you and Pooch were riding in the SUV in the gif too

It turns out I might have run up Melton more than I needed to but I'm happy with that contract as well. I think it becomes a bargain later on. His current output is almost identical to Lowry's at the same age and he fits a similar player profile. He ain't no Ricky Rubio yet but it was a good day.

Joe Harris for that low is a ridiculous steal. I just don’t know what happened there.

Those were great deals. The two lower end deals that absolutely knocked me out of my chair were:

The Portland Trailblazers have agreed to sign Ricky Rubio for $6/3 years. ($18 total)
The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to sign Aron Baynes for $1/4 years. ($4 total)

Those are two starter level players for pennies. Baynes more on the fringe but can start in a pinch and fits Pooch's bomb squad.
