I agree. He has a good head on his shoulders. Good BBIQ, for a Rookie.

I would love everything about Grant if he were 6'9.. but closer to 6'6 playing PF and center??

I hope they give Carsen Edwards enough opportunity to redeem himself next year. I looked back to his summer league and that preseason game against the Cavs and I feel that all he really needs is confidence.

By any statistical measure you want to use you;d have to say that last year’s draft was a bust. I’d be hugely surprised if Carson Edwards is on the team next year. Yes, grant Williams was ok but he was far from a stand out. Langford was basically hurt his entire rookie year and Edward’s and waters spent most of their time in the D league. Tacko Fall is a heckuva a nice guy and is super tall but remains a big time project. Vincent the pants gave us nothing. Danny has to do better this year. I can’t take any more undersized non shooting combo guards and wings. Please get us a scorer off the bench and a couple of bigs at least one of whom can bang down low. Outside of Marcus we have zero toughness on this team

Unpopular position on this board, I'm sure, but I'm in the same camp. IMO, despite the height, he has attributes that help mitigate SOME of the concerns that go along with that. Among them his 6'5"-6'6" wingspan, RB like thighs, and quickness/shiftiness/balance.

But it all comes down to his 3pt shooting proficiency.

I was not overly enthused about the pick when it happened. And along with much of the board, was disappointed with the under 6' double-down with Waters. But, along with the traits I mentioned earlier, the other factor that pulled me back a bit was Edwards' range potential as he has the leg strength to shoot well beyond the 3pt line without changing his mechanics. But it don't mean a thing if his percentages are low, of course.

I do think he can compete for a rotation spot on a team down the road. It might not be enough to keep him on the roster for another look this year unless Ainge can consolidate the end of the roster a bit in trade or trade out a couple of picks for picks in future drafts.

But, I'll also point out that Kemba Walker shot 30.5% from 3, 39.2% from 2, and had an effective FG% of 41.1% in his rookie season, compared to Edwards' 31.6%, 34.6%, and 42.2%.
Thanks Brad for answering my ad,

But after KP, your C play? You broke my heart Fredo.

N°32 is Victor Wembanyama. This kid is 7'2, 19 yo, skinny as hell but he is going to be really really good.

Well, too bad, unless he gets traded/waived/bought out, he's getting that NBA title first.

We should see if Tacko will take another Two-Way contract. If not though, then we should sign him to the full Roster.
He definitely could take Poirier's spot.

Tacko has to stay. Very difficult to find that size, and he has an aggressiveness that I like. Most giants are really nice people.

Tacko is off the court, but on the court he has an edge. I like that. He is useful.

Here's a nice piece on Tremont Waters. There's a great highlight video embedded in the article that is worth watching. I would really like to see Tremont get a shot with the team. He has talent, and a very competitive mindset, not unlike "The Little Guy" (we'll miss you Tommy). Let's give him the opportunity and see what he can do.

Poirier is now headed back to Boston, for those of you who give a ****. His offseason at home is over.
