I find it a bit shocking why some fans here wants this guy esp with some glaring facts last season.
He missed about 100 games for the last 2 years bec of ruptured Quadriceps Tendon.
He eventually returned missing 68% of his 3pt shot, just hitting 39.4% FG in 19 games. He improved his 3pt shooting in 4 games he played in the playoffs but had more turnovers than his paltry 2.5 assists/game.
We lamented when Green missed that crucial 3pt shot but bear in mind that Oladipo has a career 35% from that area, failing to hit above 35% in 5 of 7 years. His career 53.6TS% WAS MATCHED BY Avery's 53.7TS% and KCP'S 58.4TS% last season.
KCP shot 60% TS% in the last playoffs.
My best guess is KCP and Rich Paul wants to get paid and more years but Rob is very reluctant to give in bec of his '21 offseason plan. Indiana ALSO doesn't want to pay Victor so they are exploring any options to get good players back. Pelinka may get enticed bec of his EXPIRING CONTRACT, but my GOLLY, giving up Green and his defense,Kuzma and 28th pick? for this guy?
For me I will look elsewhere where the Lakers can ACTUALLY GET BETTER. I'VE been wrong many times before, maybe Oladipo has regained his form for all we know. Yes, this team really needs playmakers esp off the bench.
