LeBron only beat GSW after Bogut/Curry/Iggy had injuries.

People are discrediting Raptors' 2019 NBA Championship because of injuries to KD and Klay.

that injury to Bogut was the difference between the GSW winning in 5 games & the series going to 7 games...his presence allowed the warriors to play big/small ball, they were dictating the pace of the games till game 4.

Who cares if people try to discredit our run. We had one of the toughest routes to the finals ever. The sixers and the bucks from last year would have beat these lakers.

And we did it without OG... Who can hit game winners on his own and play devastating d

Thank you! The finals were tough as well, we went against 2 of the best shooters who were in their 4th finals in a row, most of their roster had experience even when Klay and Durant went down. People forget how close Game 6 was right until the end. Even if we won by 20+, people would still find some excuse, even though I wish we did, but I guess that's the trade off for the chip, near heart attacks all the way,

Was thinking about Jordan and how he lost in the playoffs the 3 years before the 1st championship and lost to the Magic before the 2nd 3-peat. Then thought about Lebron. lol Soooooooo, any time Lebron has gotten a team to the playoffs only once (Magic too) has he not reached the Finals! 10-1 in conference finals! 4-6 now in the the finals he's made.

This new season is gonna be a bloodbath for player salaries (not crying for them but still)

lowry makes an even $30 mil,
projected 72 game if starting christmas
nba even proposed 50 games if they start in January MLK day
40% escrow

so 30 * (72/82) * .6 = $15.8 million taxable income, after taxes thats about 9million.

no wonder they cant come to an agreement, have extended the deadline to cancel cba 3 times, newest deadline is today.

yeah but escrow means they will get that money eventually right?

in an usual year yes the players usually get the money back.

escrow up to now is insurance incase the revenue split is uneven one year marginally, lets say 48% instead of 50%, then the players get 8% of the escrow back instead of 10%.

but in this case we already know there will be major losses, up to 40%, so there is no way for the players to get that escrow money back

anyways the NBAPA and league agreed to framework. instead of 40% escrow 1 year, they will split it to 2 year 18% each each. Limit the cap to 2% raise for 3 years.

so cap this year is $109, next year apx $111 for next offseason, $114 and 117$ for the next 2 offseasons.

in exchange for splitting escrow to 2 years (essentially a 1 year free loan to players), smaller than projected escrow of 35% vs the reported 40%, the owners get cost certainty with cap limitations.

there is more to the negotiating, they have extended deadline to cancel CBA for a 4th time, new deadline monday.

I read Phoenix is interested in Chris Paul. This would make sense and make the Suns a playoff team.

OKC trades: Chris Paul, #25 and cash
Phoenix trades: Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre and #10

How does OKC say no?

I **** hate the Lakers and I'd hate that a player I'm fond of would sign for them.

There. I said it.

Once FA starts
Green + Bradley+McGhee + Kuzma should do it
