I'll have to wait and see on this one. As far as I've seen every since elected official has already flat out said no to cash reparations, so I don't believe it. They're already poisoning the well.
Supports black-owned depository institutions by codifying the Minority Bank Deposit Program, which encourages the federal agencies to deposit their funds with minority banks.
Again, not exclusive, and the development of black banks would not do anything about black wealth. I've seen multiple studies that show banking black would not build black wealth. Makes sense too, it's a bank like any other.
Requires the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection to assess the use of specific educational data related to determining the creditworthiness of an applicant, including data related to attendance at HBCUs, MSIs, and community colleges.
Because all black people go to HBCUs, MSIs, and community colleges?
Then there’s also Biden’s Lift Every Voice Plan which again specifically highlights certain policies for black people. Again read the whole thing.
Imma be real this is as credible as sending a link to the Platinum Plan.
Again you can’t say that Democrats have done nothing or won’t do anything for black people. The biggest mistake is assuming if legislation isn’t written in bold letters, “this must only help black people!” that is doesn’t mean that black people wont disproportionately see the benefits.
Explain the last 143 years to me then? Because by my estimate there's been a lot of "we won't make this specifically for you" and "this will primarily help someone that's not you while we implement other policies that will make things worse for you".
And even if all these legislations and policies get passed, it doesn’t mean that it’s going to solve everything. But there will be good parts that you agree with and areas that you think need to go further or changed. And that’s not a bad thing at all. That’s how government works and how Democracy works. The worst thing to do is become cynical and act like nothing matters, ensuring destruction in the hands of Republicans.
Voting is literally the bare minimum you can do politically. That's how we've backslid over the last 60+ years. Voting primarily instead of relying on what works. Voting only helps if your agenda is on the board. Voting needs to be strategic. All that said all I said was that that part of your post is not true. You'd have to be a fool to think the Democratic Party making vague promises can be trusted.
