Tyler Bey again would be an awesome secondary pick with a late first/ early 2nd. He's the 2nd most versatile wing player in the draft only behind Devin Vassell. He'd offer ELITE VERSATILE LOCKDOWN DEFENSE, and much like Haliburton, He's also a very efficient shooter from three at over 41%.

Tyler Bey has made a sum total of 18 threes in his 3 year college career. I wouldn't call him any sort of 3-point shooter.
But I didn't, And that's really quite obviously not his role anyways. Tyler Bey is very much an ELITE disruptive multipositional defensive playmaker with elite defensive awareness and elite rebounding and shotblocking abilities. He's very similar to Devin Vassell on the defensive end, Yet had a completely different role on the offensive end for Colorado. So should I fault a player for playing within the role he was asked to play in by his coach? Of course not! That would be silly. He's a team first guy not a me first guy, And that's really what we need to add to this team, As we already have our star trio of Booker/ Ayton Oubre. And even our secondary options of Cam Johnson/ Saric, Bridges to an extent. So do we really need a rookie use role will be to take more shots away from those players?
Again, The point is that the reason he that didn't take alot of 3 point shots though was because that wasn't his role at Colorado man. He was best as a low usage elite versatile and highly switchable defensive play maker. An ultimate glue guy for his team! And even then, He still shot 41%. He's exactly what we need in today's small ball positionless basketball game. We don't need high usage players taking the ball out of Booker's/ Oubres'/ Aytons' hands obviously. We need versatile disruptive lockdown defensive play makers AS WELL AS additional shooting and playmaking. This will free our offensive players up more to focus on a more potent offense.
And don't forget, We can initially use our primary earlier pick in a trade back scenario for elite shooting/ playmaking/ ISo creation if we so choose. But there are always two sides to the game. And both are important. And currently we only have Bridges as our defensive lynchpin. We could always use another to help him out too. Especially if we aren't planning to target Devin Vassell.
Bey offers pretty much the same elite defensive versatility, and switchability to cover multiple positions ( 1-4) and even the 5 in certain situations. And again, even on low usage, he's still shown to be efficient in his role. He should absolutely be a strong target for us if we trade back and acquire a 2nd ( late first) early 2nd. He'd provide immense value to us in that regard.
