Re: Early, early Clippers poll
As strange as it sounds, I think they will miss Doc Rivers. It wont have a huge impact on the team, but it will probably be noticeable. I dont think they will get a ring this year which means they better pray that Kawhi and Paul George REALLY enjoy being Clippers and stay for the love of the team. There is a decent chance they stay, but there will be plenty of suitors for Kawhi. Certainly the teams that miss out on Giannis will go after him.

Maybe Miami or Philly but no on Phoenix.
I would like him to resurrect the Knicks. NY’s success would be great for NBA.

Yup. They will miss Doc but Doc is really not the right coach to take a team to the finals. Lue is not the right coach either unless you have LeBron on the team.
Can’t believe the Clippers signed LeBron-less Lue as their coach. He was dumped by the Cavs because he couldn’t win squat without LeBron. I going to love seeing the Clippers fan bitch about Lue this season. They are going to wish Doc is back.
Where is the meme with Lue’s draw-up with LeBron taking the shot!?!

I don't see Kawhi leaving. Where is he going to go? He wants to be close to his family. If his only motivation was winning, then he would have stayed in Toronto.
I could PG on his way out though if there is another flameout and PG is a no show.

Sometimes what people think they want and what it turns into is a whole different story.
Kawhi wanted to be in LA but I think last season made him think twice about all the beauty of playing for the Clippers in LA.
If things don’t workout this year, Kawhi can easily bolt.

Your motivation to be with your family is not something you flip flop on easily.
Playing with the Clippers is just a byproduct of his desire to be closer to his family, a means to an end.

not to mention all the future assets they shipped out.
And the ones they shipped out for Marcus Morris that was to shore up the title run.

Where would he go? The Lakers are the only team he'd ever leave for. He gave up a super max in San Antonino and a championship team in Toronto to be in Los Angeles. There are only 2 teams Kawhi will play for.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

A nfl coach would but better fitted than Doc as the head coach of the clippers. His entire tenure has been post season failures and maintaining winning percentages that were set before he was hired.
If Kawhi wanted to save Doc he would have when Ballmer asked him. These players saw the underachievement of lob city

We talking about the Clippers again? They just lost in the playoffs. Let's get to the offseason.

I think he opens his list of teams up if he decides he want to win. Maybe Miami.

Oh how refreshing, another clippers-critical thread by a lakers fan, followed by 155,444,334 critical comments by lakers fans. Is this the most boring offseason of all time, because easiest route to title ever? Is there really nothing else to discuss for Lakers fans than talk **** about their little neighbour? And already now starting to build a legend („everything but title is a bust“), just to pull the exact same posts out and make fun of the clippers when they fail („everyone said they already had the title secured“)?
My position, as stated 100x so far: Theres only one team with 2x first team all NBA in this league and its the lakers. Only for the lakers, every thing but a repeat is failure. The clippers would make progress with reaching the confrerence finals for the first time in their history. Making it past the lakers with the uncertain roster is highly unlikely, i expect them to give up a lot of their supposedly valuable assets. They also akquired a HC i‘m not very high on.

You understand the Clippers were the favorites in Vegas and with analysts to win this past season, right?
You understand the Clippers are still Ring or bust right?
If I were to guess, the top 2 teams in the West and possibly the NBA are the Clippers and Lakers, arguably.
This isn’t about pissing on the Clippers but having a forum and message board discussion on the Clippers. It’s not my fault if the Clippers fans want to piss on their bench, depth and ex-Coach. I welcome those comments.
I think the Clippers are overreacting as I believe Lou, Bev and Harrell are good bench/depth players. If they replace them, I think they will miss what each player brings.
So far:
Doc > Lue (mistake here)
Let’s see what other moves the EOY winner makes. I will be keenly following both Lakers and Clippers moves plus other top west/NBA teams.

Re: Early, early Clippers poll
has to be ring or bust.
Both their top players could leave next year. Even if one leaves thats it, its over for them pretty much (and more likely if one leaves, the other will follow out the door).
Winning a ring gives them less excuses to go (I mean it ain't impossible cause the raptors won and Kawhi still walked).

If it's not ring or bust then I don't know what the Clippers have been selling the league.
