Can't believe they are so many picks involved in that trade when the best player being tossed around is Monk..my head hurts figuring out what is going on lol

Got eight power rankings in just under 24 hours...good start! Hoping to get another 17+ teams to participate by next Saturday so we can publish our preseason power rankings by next Sunday night.

I purchased the early release of the sim which is now going through their final beta testing. It looks like they are on the same timeline as the past few years which would put us on track to start in about a month. Of course there will be no NBA evaluating of this years rookie class for the sim so I'm not sure how they will be rated but it's all good news so far from the developer.

Also, wanted to remind everyone that there are currently three teams that do not fulfill the minimum roster size. Before the season starts, each team must have a minimum of 13 players on their roster.

He definitely lost a step though...

P.S: which means he’s still faster than 99% of the league.

SOUL wrote:i love Robin's moves this offseason after hating every prior to it tbh.. he's set up well compared to everyone just banking on 1sts and overvaluing 1st round picks that get moved for fringe starters/role players around draft time if it's anywhere past 10.

Vucevic (20 ppg)
VanVleet (18 ppg)
Bojan (20 ppg)
Paschall (14 ppg) = added 75 ppg, lost 24 ppg from Ingram = +51 ppg net gain
$300+ to work with in offseason to re-sign Bojan + add another big name free agent

So there's the possibility of adding like 65-70 irl NBA points in the span of 2 offseasons if he doesn't do any more trades on top of having some young guys like Cole Anthony + a rookie next offseason

gave up 2 first round picks but got one back in 2022 and still has Atlanta's 2021 1st which is a Curry injury away from being a really good pick. Paschall is first round talent even on a bad GSW team.

until I see a young team build from the ground up keeping young guys and competing, it's not an auto-win trade for me for those types of trades. trading for picks is never a "bad move" for the teams rebuilding/stacking up picks but then people go hard on **** on bad draft picks after giving them a year to succeed or fail lol.. which is funny too because it's all a process. i think the biggest thing is packaging those picks at the right time for a star (like the AD trade a season or 2 ago).

i think Cleveland this year will be the first time someone keeps all the young guys and they pan out to be a super team but he's been very patient and drafted well.. Charlotte might be in that group too soon but some of that was through trades obv. Indy got some luck with draft spots but drafted great.

I agree. I think we are going to see another 4 to 5 team battle to the end for the final two seeds again this year and the Wizards will be right there in the mix.

Ingram is definitely a loss but he got great value and the trade allows him to be competitive now. Trying to hold on to Ingram probably would have meant taking him into free agency during the reset year when everybody had money. Going into the reset with a highly desirable young free agent when you have one of the bottom free agent ratings means that, even with bird rights, you are going to probably left with two outcomes. Losing him to one of the high free agent ranked teams, or paying $1.25 for every $1 the top free agent team offered and overpaying.

Now, he's got Vuc locked up past the reset, can lock up Bojan next offseason, and will compete for the playoffs right away and improve that free agent rating going into the reset year free for all.

I liked that trade for both sides. Hoffa got a young star and had the pieces to sacrifice both quantity and quality to get the best player in the deal.

When asked about the trade rumors, Drummond had this to say: "The Nuggets organization, my agent and myself all have a great relationship. We talk, we communicate, we know about what teams are interested and who wants to trade for me. At the end of the day, I know that come opening night I'm going to be in a Nuggets jersey. On opening night, KP and CW are going to be in Nuggets jerseys. Our team is ready to rock, we're ready right now."

Looking for help at the wing and an improvement over Powell at C, got limited assets to move but have cap space to help facilitate deals. Let me know if you see a fit.
