Why can't any of our prospects end up like Rick Ankiel?

I would NEVER trade Pie for Ankiel. Those who have said they would are crazy.

Ankiel was hitting .265 in AAA, but showed great power. He's not going to hit .330 & he will come back down to earth shortly.

He'll be at best a .270 hitter w/ excellent power.

And Randall Simon.

Pie looks like a ballplayer. He's one of the top defensive center fielders in the game right now when he does play, and he was tearing the cover off the ball in the minors.

Simon was a separate trade I believe but a surprisingly big one for such a no name player....

We finally did have a position prospect or two this year that have made a difference...Ryan Theriot...and Mike Fontenot to a lesser extent.
