In Spain basketball is clearly number 2 after football.
When this account gets more "And1"s than posts written ...then my life will be complete. And maybe it will be the right time to hang it up. (Achieved on 2017-2018 season)...but still here.

Spain must have strong sports cultures, they have so many good athletes in variety of sports.

Yep, but we are just in the ending of our golden era...after that, we probably will suck again at sports. The football team epic run is over, Pau Gasol is going to retire...and there isn't any prospect in Spain that can be something more than a role player in NBA and I doubt we will have one like Gasol again...because 7 footers in Spain are not common. The same happens with Nadal in tennis, he was a freak of nature and he is 34.
